What I found most discriminating was the removal of homosexualism. Even though I am straight, I do not see what is wrong with being homosexual. It isn't against nature (animals, not just humans, can be homosexual too). What, so they just want our kids to grow up correctly or something? I hated the dub.

Alright, I will try freeing my mind today and watching with subs Aha, I've lived such a sheltered non subbed life! And how are the Croatian dubs? How are Croatian dubs? Hahaha, lame as all other dubs! My sister and I were just watching Yugi-Oh GX the other day and there was this chick...my God she acted all the scenes in the same tone of voice. Picture this: a battle scene, a lot of cards are being draw, we are all on the edge of our seats, the main character has only 200 life points left before she gets obliterated..."I won't give up! You won't get me!" she says but with that tone of voice she could have as well said "I need to wash my laundry" or something like that. My sister and I were like ^^'' There was one guy in the first season of Yugi-Oh who was a great voice actor but he quickly moved on...and not to mention how irritating Sailor Moon's voice was in the Croatian dub!!!! And MY GOD Setsuna's voice was ugly ugly ugly! I still can't get over how ugly it was. It was supposed to be deep and sexy like it is in the Japanese version but this sounded like....like it was a man doing the acting. I guess it was the guy who acted Tuxedo Kamen. ;D ;D And the thing I found very irritating: you'd have 5 actresses and 1-2 actors and they did all the voices in the show...^^' Oh man. I feel lame. But I always thought Croatia was pretty cool :-( My friend's mom's taking a trip down there this summer. I wish they could pack me in there suitcase. :-D What do you mean? Croatia IS pretty cool! XD XD

Hahah that sounds pretty enticing to watch! Maybe that girl is calm and at peace with her inner chi. Who knows? Ekkke Tuxedo Kamen the same as Setsuna? NO NO NO!

Setsuna as a man? Ok, that gave me some really wacky images in my head right now...

I think the Dub is Okay. It could have been much, much better though, in my opinion...And they shouldn't have made all those cuts. Most of the cuts they made weren't even that bad.
But if it weren't for the Dub I wouldn't have became a sailor moon fan.
So I'm neutral on this subject.
By the way- I use the Jp names. Because I like the Jp. voices better. ^_^

By the way- I use the Jap names. Because I like the Jap. voices better. ^_^ Might want to be careful about how you throw around the abbreviation of 'Japanese' on the internet...it's considered an offensive term after WWII. Just so you know because it offends some people. ^^ And of course dub Setsuna's a man...I mean, doesn't 'Trista' sound like 'Tristan', which is a guy's name?

Oh...sorry...I didn't realise that... By the way...what kind of name is "Amara"?

Tehee the dub is a funny thing, but I prefer the original version it's much less cheesy and inaccurate. I wonder who voted "It's all I want to watch"? The dub's not completely evil though since if it weren't for the dub me and tons of other people would have never found out about Sailor Moon.
I read somewhere that "Amara" meant bitter so I dunno that kind of reflects Haruka's attitude.

Hmm... I wouldn't really say that Haruka is bitter. Aggressive at times, perhaps a little cold, but she never struck me as bitter.

The NA dub is somewhat decent it's just that how DiC handled it was just completely wrong and for the Cloverway dub, i thought it was discriminating and ridicules that they changed Haruka and Michiru from lesbians to cousins but I mean besides, kids already knew about the whole gay/lesbian thing and another thing about the Cloverway that was very insulting is that in one episode of Sailor Moon S, Mina claimed that Serena's letter was written in "funny symbols" or something like that but I felt like "Did-did they just flat out insult Japan?" My friend, who's Japanese-American, he was insulted by that actually.

.. I dont' mind the Dub, cause I've never been exposed to the Japanese. actually, I find it funny to watch any of my anime eps in Japanese, cause I have no clue what they are saying and it bothers my friends Tiffany and Tara cause they are like me and only like the dubs really! It's all I have ever been able to watch and I am used to it.. I can't really enjoy any other movies or anything in if it's in another language. I only speak English so.. but I wouldn't have minded if they had kept amara and michelle lesbians. I dont mind Homosexuals at all. Anyway, I like the dubs, never did see the japanese cause I can't enjoy something I can't understand^^;; sorry about that.

I don't like the dub, but I can understand the importance of it. It's what got me into Sailor Moon.
I'm proeficent at reading subtitles now and not missing too much at this point, but sometimes I drag up a clip from somewhere of the English dub just to have a bit of a laugh at the voice-acting.
Some of the dub songs were really good, though.

My friend, who's Japanese-American, he was insulted by that actually. its possible it was't a thing directed at japan, if it the one i'm thinking of, Serena/usagi can't write proper japanese kanji?(its one of the three types) so it may be just a play on that by saying that whats she's written is unreadable even pgsm hilights her problem because her name is read wrong in one
