I didn't really mind the dubbed version since I watched it as a kid and when I reviewed it several years later I found that it was rather cheesy, but I still think the dubbed version is okay since I don't like staring at subtitles the whole time and having to pause/rewind when I didn't get what they said.

You know, I've never really had a problem with the subtitles. Maybe that's because I watch them on my computer, and the media player's screen is smaller than that of a television's. I have a feeling that's the case.
My skin curls when I hear the dub. It's just... not good... at all.

It's all about freeing your mind... or using the Force. It kinda depends on the day that you're watching some subs.

Ah that's good . Hah I must train my eyes for pro-sub reading LOL you wouldn't have problems with subs if you lived in Croatia since 99% percent of the TV program has subtitles! ;D Shows like Oprah, movies, series...the only thing getting dubbed recently are cartoons, anime mostly. But the national television still doesn't dub cartoons and anime and I'm deeply grateful for that. *bows to Croatian national television*

Alright, I will try freeing my mind today and watching with subs Aha, I've lived such a sheltered non subbed life! And how are the Croatian dubs?

I've only seen like,26 of the episodes, and I must say that I like some things better in the sub than the dub, like Amy,Nehelenia and Luna's VAs,and some of the songs. However,I can still enjoy the dub because these are some things that I like better than the sub,and the fact that it's better than the American cartoons,IMO

But I always thought Croatia was pretty cool :-( My friend's mom's taking a trip down there this summer. I wish they could pack me in there suitcase. :-D I feel like a teeny-bopper. Only with countries :-) As for the dub- yeah, it's cheesy and innacurate. And even though I hate it, I love it just because I grew up with it. I love it because it's so funny and hilariously cheesy. It's almost like a completely different show to me- I mean, Dubbed and Subbed to me are completely different shows. I dunno. I can stand it, and actually like watching it occassionally. But... I prefer the subs

Yeah I agree the dubs are cheesy and inaccurate but it was what I watched when I was a little kid... so it brings back memories of the blissful days haha.

I can't stand the dub at all >< I tried watching the first seaon dubbed and stopped after as couple of episodes. I also wanted to strangle Ami becuase her dub voice was the most annoying to me.

IIRC, didn't she have the slightest hint of an English accent? I know Luna went from nagging but cute (in the original) to an old English nanny.

Old English Nanny? Hah I never thought of it that way until now, but now it reminds me of Mrs. Doubtfire!
