I noticed this a while ago, but kinda assumed someone else would point it out sooner or later. Don't know if someone already did, but just in case...
In Sailor Moon's "Manga Information" page it says about her attack Moon Healing Escalation":
I think that needs correction because there are no Nijizuishou (Rainbow crystals) in the manga, and she only uses it on evil Endymion once, and it doesn't work. In the manga, she uses it to heal Zoisite's brainwashed victims, then Kunzite's frozen victims, then on Makoto and Luna who'd been respectively brainwashed and injured by "Endou", then on Metallia-possessed Endymion (and it doesn't work) and then on the people of earth (the other girls included), to restore them after she defeated Metallia.

She does wear the Sailor V costume again in the manga after Beryl is defeated. It happens in the first of Rini/Chibiusa's Picture Diaries. After Beryl, there are no Ail, Ann and Doom Tree but they go straight to the part when Chibiusa falls from the sky. Usagi/Serena's mom sends Chibiusa to Elementary school and she starts the fourth grade, where one of her classmates, a boy, is a Sailor V fan and wears a Sailor V badge. Usagi and Mina/Minako hear about this and Usagi asks if anyone wears a Sailor Moon badge, put down that Sailor V seems to still be much more popular than Sailor Moon, while Minako just giggles at Usagi's reaction. Then Chibiusa, Momo(ko?) and the boy, Kyuusuke, start suspecting another classmate, Ririka/Lyrica, might be a vampire. Chibiusa tells Usagi and the inners, who give her advice on how to fight a vampire (joking around, mostly). Chibiusa, Momoko and Kyuusuke go to Ririka's house and are attacked by her and her mother (who is also a vampire) and Sailor V (not Venus) and Sailor Moon rescue them. Sailor V introduces herself first and Sailor Moon introduces herself second. The next day, in school, Kyuusuke gives a Sailor Moon badge to Chibiusa as a gesture of friendship, so she can wear it while he wears the Sailor V one.
This plot was also seen in one of the anime specials, only they don't show Kyuusuke wearing the Sailor V badge, Chibiusa and friends are rescued by Sailor Moon and the four inners, Minako going as Sailor Venus, not Sailor V.
EDIT: Coincidentally, both the anime special and the manga chapter are mentioned in this site:

Oh, I haven't been in this thread in ages.
Ah, many people seem to think this, but to me it sounds like a contradiction. Even though SailorMoon didn't get the Silver Moon Crystal till the Dream arc, the Silver Crystal was still bonded to her and affected by her emotions, and the same happened to ChibiUsa: before her Silver Crystal changed to PinkMoon Crystal, she was still lined with it and vicerversa: if her Silver Crystal hadn't truly linked to her till the Dream arc (when it changes into the Pink Moon Crystal) then how come she was so affected by Mistress 9 taking it from her in the previous arc, when it had supposedly still not truly 'linked' to her? Why does she say, when she's floating in a black void while unconscious and finds the Silver Crystal, hat she can't be without it? Why does Hotaru say it's her spirit/heart already in that arc, the Infinity arc?
And Diana says "your" Silver Crystal has been reborn, not "the"Silver Crystal has been reborn.
I'm not saying any of that can't be true, but just that this is why I believe there's no conclusive evidence either way (either that it is a different crystal or not), so it really bothers me how on wikipedia editors take one version as factual and call ChibiUsa's crystal and items "the Silver Crysta of the future" and "the Holy Chalice of the future". Especially the Holy Chalice... it was supposed to have been created with the power of the Inners and Outers, and we don't even know where Saturn, Uranus and Neptune are in the 30th century, so it is just a fan assumption that the second Holy Chalice that shows up with SailorMoon is "the one from the future". -_-

Yep I agree too, Ian, that WAS a very good point. I knew the symbolic theory, I like it. Also don't forget her hair may be supposed to change from pink to silver when she gets older. Remember how in the Dream arc of the manga, Helios tells Usagi and Mamoru he had a vision of Princess Lady Serenity (older ChibiUsa) telling him to look for the Golden Crystal? Takeuchi drew a colored picture of her, Princess Lady Serenity, and she had silver hair. P.S.: If we recall how King Endymion said: "she's a child of the Earth with blood of the Silver Millenium, we don't really understand her", though, then the horses and donkeys may make a lot of sense. ^_^

If it was planned out, I hope not by her, that would be so self centered... Notice how her daughter has her name, last name, previous life's name, hairstyle, power (hey, she could have inherited Endymion's instead) etc etc etc? Not a single thing to show poor Mamoru/Darien/Endymion was involved in her birth as well. I really think their kid should have been Sailor Earth and not Sailor Chibi Moon. Well, I have a theory I shared in fanfiction-dot- net that all the women of the Moon Royal House before Rini/ChibiUsa could have been born of a miracle pregnancy , and that Rini's the first ever to have a father as well as a mother, thus before her all of them were born on the same date and looked a lot like their mother, but because she had a dad too, ChibiUsa got pink hair instead and was stuck in the body of a kid for 900 years (manga canon) . Like crossing horses and donkeys. Serenity was the horse, Endymion the donkey, and Chibiusa the resulting mule. And wiki pedia says some mules have been able to produce offspring, so they wouldn't have to worry about heirs to the throne at least for another generation ;D.

I always kind of understood that, in the manga version, the Black Moon Clan were originally from Earth, that they lived on earth before Wiseman approached them, because of the way he says: "Young traitors, if you want power, to take over Earth, go to Nemessis and take the Black Poison Crystal". I always understood they were from Earth and were of the few people who weren't happy with NQS' rule, for selfish reasons; their reasons in the anime are a lot more justified, but in the manga they just didn't like how NQS had given everyone lifespans of one thousand years and turned earth into a peaceful planet, because they thought that was interfering against the natural being of mankind's of having short life-spans and being in constant peril and war.
That's why I like the manga version a lot better: because it makes a lot more sense and doesn't make NQS look bad like the anime version kind of does. If the Black Moon Family were originally just unsatisfied citizens of Earth, who went to Nemessis out of their own thirst for power (instead of being made to flee or expelled from Earth), then she did not truly manage to defeat all the evil in people's hearts, and people are still having the option of rebelling (like the Black Moon well did) and exercise their free will.
In the manga, Sailor Moon doesn't have the power to turn bad people good with the Silver Crystal. If there's an enemy, she usually is forced to kill them in self defense (like with the Wicked Sisters, who she does kill in the manga). But even in the anime, I believe she only has the power to free people from their darker emotions temporarily, I don't think she has the power to affect their choices per se... so people would still have their free will. I also believe in the SM universe at least, these 'darker emotions' that make people commit 'evil' deeds are emotions that usually make those same people miserable: anger, hurt, fear, distrust, unsatisfaction, uncertainty, etc etc... who wouldn't love someone with the power to magically free you from those terrible emotions, with the power to so easily return your peace of mind? An instant, 100% effective cure to any emotional sufferings? I know I would... The way I imagine the 'cleansing', I think you would have to be a bit crazy and deeply masochistic to refuse it. However, like I said, I don't think the effect would be permanent, due to human beings' great capacity for making their one lives h e l l.
Then there's the slow aging thing... so people have now two reasons to love NQS to bits: the emotional relief and the long youth and life... and then there's all the world saving she does, protecting the planet from alien menaces and demons and the like, which makes it three reasons. Three very powerful reasons. If you didn't like one of them, one of the other two would at least tempt you.

Yes, they can be hard, but in my opinion, that's inherent to most crossovers. Particularly anime, because each show seems to be happening in a completely different world. The only easy anime crossover is when you cross a show with its sequel/prequel or other works of the same author (and even then you might have trouble, for example Inuyasha/Ranma 1/2 crossovers are not as easy as one might think just because they're both Rumiko Takahashi's creations: Inuyasha is a lot more serious than Ranma 1/2; the better chance is if you've read both manga versions too).
Buth getting back to topic, I decided to write them not just because I liked both shows (I like Wolf's Rain too and would never cross it with DBZ, just imagine that), but because they have a lot of certain things in common. It depends on the genre too. If we're talking about the action/adveture genre, I think the manga version of Sailor Moon works better to make a crossover with DBZ, because in the manga the scouts (senshi) are stronger. That aside, if we're talking about the comedy/humor genre I've seen such good DBZ/SM comedy crossovers that I laughed till my insides hurt (I can recommend Phoenixwind's "Moonlight Dreams" in fanfiction-dot-net, for example).

Woa, are you talking to me? If you are, you misunderstood me... didn't you see the emoticon? The last sentence was meant as a joke... besides, yes I did quote you, but my post was to talk about the subject in general? I wasn't talking to you or anyone specifically, I was just intending to be playful, sorry if I failed royally. EDIT: Oh, I re-read my post and I think I understand now. I wrote "so there"... sorry, english is not my first language, and though I use it frecuently sometimes I forget some phrases that have aggresive connotations. My mistake. So now, "this" post is be an answer to yours so as to clear any misunderstandings, hopefully? Eh, nope. Not at all. Honestly, don't see why you would think that? I was never refering to reincarnation,, of the senshi or anyone, at all. The senshi are still reincarnated on the SM earth, they just would have to travel space if they're gonna visit Chikyuu, because from this perspective, it's a different, distant planet that just happens to have human popullation as well for the explanation I mentioned. As for the difference in timelines, they could always time-travel as well as space-travel, some rabid manga fans I know have hit me on the head often for refering to Pluto's Time Gates merely as "Time Gates" and not with the proper manga name of "Space-Tim Doors". ...I frankly didn't know the DBZ timeline used the AD designation, because (I think) it has to do with Jesus Christ's birth, and I'm not sure Jesus was supposed to have existed in the DBZ earth, given that there are dinousaurs co-existing with people, of all things, and the technology is too advanced to be just a few hundred years after AD, at least by our standards... NOT that I'm saying they don't use the AD designation, though; I'm just admiting it would never have occured to me, and why.

I wrote two DBZ/SM crossovers (one the sequel to the other) and solved it using the manga version of the end of the Moon Kingdom, that says when Beryl and Metallia came Sailor Saturn swinged the blade putting an end to all life in the Solar System, and then evolution on earth was re-started from zero:
In the Silver Millenium times, the people of Earth travelled all around the universe (even if they didn't get along with the Moon Kingdom) and established colonies in many planets outside our Solar System. One of them was Kinmoku, and another one a distant planet that was a lot like Earth, even with its own moon and sun, and so decided to start a human colony there as well, naming the planet 'Earth 2' or 'Chikyuu' (Chikyuu means 'Earth' in Japanese), and this second Earth was the DBZ Earth... This Earth 2/Chikyuu was the planet where humans first found the animals known as dinosaurs, and liked them so much they even took some of them back to the first Earth. Then Beryl and Metallia came, Sailor Saturn swinged the glaive putting an end to all life in our Solar System, including the first Earth, and obviously communication ceased between the first Earth and its colonies outside the Solar System... Humans from Kinmoku and Chikyuu were forced to continue on their own, and their later generations eventually forgot where they had originally come from.
So there: the SM earth and the DBZ earth (Chikyuu) are two different planets, even if they're very similar in atmosphere, plant life and stuff. The humans on Chikyuu are descendants of the coloners that came from the SM earth in the times of the Silver Millenium, and the dinosaur fossils in the SM earth ("our" Earth) are there because humans "imported" dinosaurs from Chikyuu in the times of the Silver Millenium.
I hope you can see now not all of us DBZ/SM crossover writers are thoughtless! ;D

I somewhat keep it a secret... I kept a secret that I watched anime even when I was the proper age to watch it without people judging me... Then when there were visitors coming for dinner my mum would tell everyone at the table of how much I liked a 'Chinese Cartoon' called Sailor Moon and completely embarrass me... :S I just didn't have people to share it with: I had changed from public school to a private school when I was ten and the kids in the private school were superficial and snobby, they kept talking about things that didn't interest me and I was the shy new girl that didn't know the codes or how to talk to people... eventually they classified me as a bookworm and ostracize me. Finding Sailor Moon around that time was one of the only things that helped me cope with the lonliness, perhaps that's the reason my obsession still lives on today... Thanks for cheering me up those days, Usagi! I don't care if people don't get my passion for Sailor Moon, I still like it! ^_^

Saturn also stabbed Paraoh 90 (or Mistress9, it was hard to tell) with the blade of her glaive, and sucked all the power from him.

Well, I thought people had finally stopped arguing that Sailor Cosmos was Sailor Moon, if only to begin arguing about "which" Sailor Moon: Usagi or one of her and ChibiUsa's descendants. O.o
Personally I like to think it is Usagi's, Neo Queen Serenity's reincarnation, and that Usagi reincarnated herself in one of her own descendants... what do you guys think?

Thanks a lot for replying! ^_^
I think you're right: the tear does take physical form, but that form is the Silver Crystal, isn't it? Not just a tear that resonates with it. In the anime, they made it so it was the Silver Crystal of the future that was hidden inside ChibiUsa's body since the beginning, and she uses it to help her mother defeat Wiseman... Then goes to the past with a compact that has a PINK crystal, so in the anime the crystal in ChibiUsa's compact can't be the Silver Crystal of the future, because it's a different color.
Another great objection: if the Silver Crystal is supposed to be passed down like this, how come Princess Serenity didn't transform into a senshi when Endymion died, in the Silver Millenium? Or why didn't the Silver Crystal just become hers then? (It clearly didn't, since Queen Serenity says that in her confusion at her daughter's suicide, she wasn't able to unleash the Silver Crystal's power enough to permanently seal Metalia).
Anyway, my issue with the whole thing is that while I don't have problem with Neo Queen Serenity giving the Silver Crystal to Small Lady as an inheritance after she dies, or once Small Lady grows up and takes the throne... but to think that ChibiUsa became the owner of her mother's crystal so early in the series, when she's clearly still a child and not very experienced or powerful (even in the manga) is something I have a lot of problems accepting as possible...
I mean, Usagi's own case was very different: there was no other way around it because Queen Serenity was dead and the enemy was right THERE, ready to take the planet... Usagi needed to defeat the Dark Kingdom right then and did not have the time to feel inferior to her mother's shadow or take the time to learn how to use the Crystal while having the chance of traveling to the past and learning from her mother: in her case, her having to be the one to use the Crystal's true power was clearly an emergency. That is not ChibiUsa's case though: even if wounded, during the whole Black Moon ordeal Neo Queen Serenity was very much alive, and was just healing... besides, the sensi of the past where there: it was Sailor Moon, not Chibimoon, who defeated Nemesis (the Neo Queen said so by stating Sailor Moon had borrowed Tuxedo Kamen's and Chbimoon's powers, but it was her... it was her scepter and brooch that shattered as a result of power overload, not Chibimoon's).
I can't either accept the fact that Neo Queen Serenity became secondary after ChibiUsa transformed... not when Chibimoon is clearly still not capable of defeating an enemy by herself, unlike Sailor Moon in the Dark Kingdom arc who DID defeat Metalia with just a very wounded Tuxedo Kamen's help. ChibiUsa is clearly not ready... she's always in awe of Sailor Moon and sometimes ever feels inferior... she says she's still not a full-fledged sailor senshi, and the Sailor Quartetto confirm this when they say they will awaken when that moment comes... when the series ends, she's still pretty much a senshi in training... and she's supposed to have her mother's Silver Crystal and power now?
Anyway, the more I look at it, the more I'm convinced Chibimoon had to have produced her own Crystal... and once she makes friends of her own that are sailor soldiers like herself (the Sailor Quartetto probably) the need to protect those friends will make her powerful enough to be the one to actually defeat ane enemy, unleashing the true power of her (own) Silver Crystal... as t is now, she's just gained the ability to transform, and some attacks, and thus not ready to take her mother's place... If the Crystal were truly handed from other to daughter, and not created her own by each, then it'd be a symbol that when the daughter receives the Crystal she' s ready to take the mother's place... I do not think that is ChibiUsa's case, at least not yet.

Hey everyone, I'm new here. Sorry if I didn't take the time to see if anyone else has already asked this question but it's something that's been on my mind for quite a while, regarding Sailor Moon that is, and I thought the forum would be the correct place to discuss this:
Many SM sites I've been to (including this one) describe the Pink Moon Crystal also known as ChibiUsa's Silver Crystal in the manga as that of Neo Queen Serenity (the Silver Crystal of the future) which became hers when she cried over Pluto's death... People who think this say that the brilliant object that ChibiUsa is holding while transforming into a sailor senshi for the first time (in the Black Moon arc) is either her tear resonating with the Silver Crystal of the future, or the Silver Crystal of the future itself which went to her hands.
The problem I have with this theory is that the object in ChibiUsa's hands, while a tear in the beginning, becomes too big to be just a tear in the next panel, and it has a pointy end at the bottom, not the top (whilst tears are conventionally drawn with a pointy end at the top, aren't they?) Thus I find it difficult to think it's a tear... I also have trouble thinking it's the Silver Crystal of the future, because when Usagi/Serena/Bunny had taken the Silver Crystals of the past and future from Prince Diamond (after Pluto had stopped time) she kept one (which she used later to transform) and gave the other to Sailor Venus... and when Sailor Moon and Tuxedo Kamen have already been teleported to space to fight Nemesis and Neo Queen Serenity wakes up, while she's talking with Sailor Chibimoon we see an image of Sailor Venus looking at the two as they talk and STILL holding the Silver Crystal of the future... (therefore, the Silver Crystal of the future couldn't have teleported to ChibiUsa when she was transforming, otherwise why give it back to Venus?)
Thus, if it's too bing to be a tear, and it wasn't drwan like one, and it's not the Silver Crystal of the future because that one was still much later on in Venus' hands... what IS the glowing object in ChibiUsa's hands as she is transforming? Couldn't it be her own Silver Crystal that she had created?
Things that happen later on in other arcs seem to confirm this idea: Usagi tells Neherenia that power is born, not taken (thus ChibiUsa couldn't have taken the crystal from her mother) and later in the Stars arc she finds out the Silver Crystal is her sailor crystal/star seed... Someone once said it's possible the Silver Crystal became Usagi's sailor crystal because it bonded with her star seed, but Usagi says that without it she wouldn't have been even born, and Seiya tells her sailor crystals are created as special star seeds (thus, sailor crystals ARE star seeds in themselves, they don't bond with one).
On the other hand, whenever someone takes the brooch with the Silver Crystal from Sailor Moon in the manga, she looses her transformation. The same happened to Chibimoon in the Infinity arc when Hotaru, controlled by Mistress 9, did the same to her. The only time any of the two has transformed and kept the senshi transformation while someone else had their Silver Crystal in their hands was in the Dark Kingdom arc when brainwashed Tuxedo Kamen had taken it from Usagi and hurt Luna, and she transformed to stop him. However, that time we know evil Tuxedo Kamen had a portion of the Silver Crystal inside him, and he visibly saw the Silver Crystal react by glowing when Usagi transformed and screamed in grief... yet when ChibiUsa transformed into Chibimoon for the first time nobody said anything about the Silver Crystal in Sailor Venus' hands either glowing or teleporting away. Isn't that a bit weird?
Besides, being left without her Silver Crystal in the Infinity arc rendered ChibiUsa in a comatose state. Later while ChibiUsa's unconscious she dreams of being in this black void and finding her Silver Cystal, she says she needs it because it's a part of herself. Hotaru's ghost appears then and says the Silver Crystal is her spirit (or her heart, depending on the translation) and she shouldn't be off without it or show it to strangers... The way it's been put there, it's obvious ChibiUsa needs her Silver Crystal to be alive... if that is so, how come Neo Queen Serenity can really be off without hers, and have given it to ChibiUsa, if it's really HER Silver Crystal that ChibiUsa has now?
It's obvious the Silver Crystal is the core of the protection of Crystal Tokyo and Earth in the 30th Century (Wiseman tells the Black Moon members that they need 'to crush it' before they can take over Earth) thus if the only Silver Crystal they had belonged now to ChibiUsa, why send her to the past to train, leaving Crystal Tokyo without its protection, instead of training her themselves? After ChibiUsa's rgeret at having taken the Crystal from her mother's room and indirectly caused the trouble with the Black Moon, would she go off with it again to the past as if nothing had happened?
Last, in the Dark Kingdom arc Sailor Moon showed the ability of spontaneously creating weapons (a new tiara for example) and people have said it was because she had the Silver Crystal unknowingly hidden inside her. If this ability is related to the Silver Crystal, how come Neo Queen Serenity still possesses it after Chibimoon had supposedly taken her Crystal? At the end of the Black Moon arc, if you remember, she gives her rod to Chibimoon and sends her to help Sailor Moon and Tuxedo Kamen defeat Nemesis, and Sailor Moon's own rod shatters... then a BRAND NEW rod appears in Neo Queen Serenity's raised hand (its brand new because the one she had given ChibiUsa is round shaped and so is Sailor Moon's, but the one that appears in Neo Queen Serenity's hnd is heart shaped, so it's clearly a different rod) and she gives this rod to ChibiUsa, telling her to give it to Usagi... she also gives Sailor Moon a new brooch and nw powers to the inner senshi... AND, she not only resurrects Pluto but sends her soul to be reincarnated in the PAST... if Neo Queen Serenity no longer has her Crystal, how come she can do such things?
I just wanted to ask this questions and she if anyone can answer... Thanks a million times in advance for your time!
