From about that time on, that's also when the internet was getting more common usage in the states. so basically if the dub was never created, I doubt there would've been such popularity with anime at all among Americans or girls in general. Yes, but how would you know? Sailor Moon wasn't the only popular anime. It was ONE of the most popular series on Toonami, but not the ONLY one. Dragonball Z, and Gundam Wing to a lesser extent, were also hugely popular. Sailor Moon might have propelled anime's popularity a little faster, but it wasn't the only thing that made anime take off like it did.

Well, my point was that sailor moon was introduced sometime before anime on public access channels leading the way to toonami being broadcast. but it's sort of a trivial arguing point like you said, because it's still dealing in hypotheticals. nevertheless, I still love the butchered mishandled sadness that is the dub.
