I check for Sailor Moon stuff in every DVD store or thrift store I go to. I've only gotten lucky three times -- I found some dolls at the Salvation Army, I found the R movie brand new for ten dollars, and I found the first dub DVD used for eight dollars. When I DO find something, I make sure to grab it quick.

I'm half-Irish and I don't even go beyond wearing green on St. Patrick's Day, and I didn't even do that this year because I wasn't in the mood. Other than that, most of my friends (especially my Irish friends) use it as an excuse to go get drunk.

So, what does everyone have for their desktop/wallpaper? This is mine at the moment: i26.tinypic.com/20qn7l4.jpg I normally don't use fanart for wallpapers, but I thought it was cute. Kudos to the original artist, whoever they are.

I love kimono! My friend bought me a gorgeous silk one for Christmas and I wish I had more opportunities to wear it. I'd love to own an actual formal kimono, but they're so expensive.
I remember reading somewhere that it's rude to eat or drink while walking down the street in Japan. I know anime's not always accurate, but we see Usagi and the others doing this all the time. Hmm.
Also, I read a fun little fact in my marketing textbook tonight -- the Japanese are very superstitious about the number 4 the same way Americans are about the number 13 because the word for 4 (shi) is also the word for death. We Americans don't label thirteenth floors in buildings and the Japanese don't sell things in sets of four. I thought that was kind of interesting.

You can also do what I did -- I de-adjusted my vision and let it go blurry. That's really weird. I love these mental picture thingies. EDIT: Okay, this just comes from hanging out with hardcore Trekkies, but for some reason I think the person in the picture looks like Data from TNG.

I got a valentine, but it's from a creepy stalker of mine, so it doesn't count. I'm looking forward to the cheap candy on the 15th.

Pepsi. Coke burns my throat. I will gladly drop all Pepsi products for a bottle of Vanilla Coke though! I like it much better than Vanilla Pepsi, but it's become extremely hard to find around here as of lately. I could go to Sonic and get a shot of vanilla in my Coke, but it's not the same. I also loved the Black Cherry Vanilla Coke they had for a short while, but that seems to have disappeared as well.

although i can't really be called a 90's kid, on the account of I'm only 14, and there wore I lived in the 90's of approximately 7 years, i still remember some of the stuff that i see on those lists of stuff from the 90's. I think that's more than enough to call you a 90s kid! I was born in '88, so I'm one of those awesome in-between, best of both worlds 80s/90s kids. ;D Plus, my sister was born in '82 and I got all of her hand-me-downs, so that's why I know more about the 80s than someone my age should. Heh.

Oh my, I just remembered the horror that was Teddy Ruxpin today. My sister had one that I eventually inherited when she left to live with her father and it freaked me out. His voice and his moving mouth were too much for little six-year-old me to handle. I think my mom ended up selling it.
I also remembered the dogs that supposedly flipped over when you switched them on. Mine never worked. Nor do I really know anyone who managed to get theirs to flip.

I should be getting ready for work. (Well, I AM ready, I just need to get ready to leave.)
Instead, I'm listening to episode six of Sailor Moon for white noise while I check email.

I got to play Super Smash Brothers Brawl today!
I've never played any of the SSB games before, and to be honest, it bored me. And I LOVE fighting games. :\

hem... does anyone know a good program to take screen captures? I'm really clueless about what to use. VLC Media Player does the job for me. It'll play anything, but it's hard to stop it on a very specific spot to get the precise screencap you want.
