I looked through the thread I made called "Your own 'senshi' profile", and noticed that the majority of us hated maths. I'm not a nerd or anything like that, but I admit liking maths and sciences like chemistry and biology. I hate commerce subjects though.
Why do you like or hate certain school subjects?

i hate certian subjects because i can't understand them. The subjects you said you like are all confusing and really hard for me.. I enjoy History and English, and any kind of subjects assoicating with them. They are less confusing for me to try and learn.

I don't actually hate maths, it's just that I don't see the purpose of using what I'm supposed to learn in my day-to-day life!
As for other subjects: because I either find them boring, or just don't understand'em!

I don't hate maths or physics. I only hate chemistry XXXXXXXDDDD Why? Because I have a mean teacher. But I don't hate it as a subject, though, it's not my favourite.

I love history, political science, and English (more like literary analysis and rhetoric). I greatly dislike math and the sciences, though the latter I can tolerate more on occasion.

I would probably like math and science more if I were better at them. ^_^;; I think I started hating those classes in years when I had really bad teachers.

I don't mind Maths too much, I'm just not fantastic at it. I achieve well, but I find it boring, so I don't look forward to the classes. Definately don't like PE and associating subjects, though. I like English because I'm really good at that, I don't like SOSE (and out of that, I like Geography less). I like Science, especially Geology, Astronomy, and Chemistry. I love Japanese, because I like a challenge! ;D

Full-time science geek reporting in! XD But seriously, I liked my math lessons a lot. Not to sound like I'm boasting (although it will sound like I am anyway), I shot to the top of the class in primary school and secondary school. My mother saw math as the most important subject and really something to measure your intelligence by, so she used to teach me math herself at home when I was in primary school. As I got older, I even took my GCSE mathematics exam a year early and I had to act as a tutor to younger students who struggled between Intermediate and Foundation levels in preparation for their GCSEs. It was basically our duty to make sure that as many of them passed the halfway point and were ready to take the Intermediate at least. This was part of our extended duty as prefect, but most of us just did it to get a really good reference from the Head of Year I'm studying Neuroscience at the top science-geek institution in the UK, so obviously I'm heavily involved in the sciences. After this, I'm getting my MBBS degree, so yeah, more science on the way! XD I *love* it and I very much live for it. However, I do have a large interest in other areas of study, too (such as history, anthropology and philosophy), so I'm not ALWAYS rooted to the sciences. I think the subject I hated the most was English but only because of some of the teachers. Their ignorance astounded me...

Oh, my favourite subjects are Literature, Philosophy andArt. I'm not that much interested in scientific subjects, and I agree, PE is a wasteful, boring, stupid thing. XD ( Yes, I flame PE I never liked it...Maybe it's because I'm not very good at it ;D )

P.E. is a waste of time... but now they're making us do in motion stretches or whatever they're called, a big pain since we have to do "butt kicks", "high knees", lunges all that good stuff.
Well I've never really hated math and science until this year... I think it's only because of the teachers though. The math teacher this year smells and gives out a bonus/extra credit that could potentially hurt people's grades. And well the chem teacher rules with an iron fist.

Now I might want to say something related to genders and PE, but I won't LOL, now I'm curious... Actually, I loved PE but probably only because I was actually rather good at it. I found that lots of people at school respected you if you were good at sports. Even the people that I thought were my complete opposite in terms of personality showed me a lot of respect. It was nice and stupid stereotypical label and divisions were challeneged and dispelled (i.e, if you're good at science it automatically means that you are terrible at sports). It one of the reasons I loved my old school so much. I was extremely athletic (especially in earlier years), so I was involved in sports a lot and made the House Team for hockey and track/running. However, I was indeed one of the few (yes, especially out of the girls) that actually enjoyed PE. I think most of them akined it to torture...
