I don't mind PE (depending what we have to do during the lesson) but I HATE... I repeat HATE italian lessons!! we have to always analyse a poem/text/book and/or write essays to which they give us such incomprehendable titles you can't and will never understand!
I don't mind the other lessons... I LOVE drama and art! you actually get to have fun sometimes!

Now I might want to say something related to genders and PE, but I won't LOL, now I'm curious... Actually, I loved PE but probably only because I was actually rather good at it. I found that lots of people at school respected you if you were good at sports. Even the people that I thought were my complete opposite in terms of personality showed me a lot of respect. It was nice and stupid stereotypical label and divisions were challeneged and dispelled (i.e, if you're good at science it automatically means that you are terrible at sports). It one of the reasons I loved my old school so much. I was extremely athletic (especially in earlier years), so I was involved in sports a lot and made the House Team for hockey and track/running. However, I was indeed one of the few (yes, especially out of the girls) that actually enjoyed PE. I think most of them akined it to torture... well there's a thing that I'll never understand. Why all popular girls have to be so good in sports?!! It became a label: if you're good at basketball (or any sport), you're the most amazing, cool, great person! Weird... I thought that your brain and your personality takes it all. have I ever mentioned that I hate football XD?? and every good football player is the most "attractive guy"?

Actually, the reason I got so much respect was because I played on my House Team and it was more to do with House pride than anything else. If you're involved in such a big thing, obviously people are going to pay a lot of attention to you (especially the rest of your House). I'm sure it must be different in other schools, but in ours, I got respect because I represented something that was important to the school. At school I represented my House so lots of people in my House looked up to me, at away games, I represented my school. It was a great deal of fun for everyone. I was never popular because I was a dumb, mean bimbo. People didn't mess with me because they respected me too much to do something like that. I got good grades and I don't see what's wrong with being good at sports and academics. I think it's something to be incredibly proud of because it shows that you're focused and hardworking. I'm glad I wasn't like the girls that guys would try to take advantage of because they were popular for the wrong reasons. I guess I'm really lucky that I went to such a wonderful school, especially when compared to what I hear about other schools and stereotypes.
