Nope, because main characters always manage to pull a rabbit out of their... hats! and win fights for their soul/souls of the world/world/galaxy. Like when Usagi uses a deus ex machina... er, I mean the Silver Crystal to save the world from total destruction? Yea, but since she'd doing that while dressed in a miniskirt, I can pardon her err.

I agree with you 100 %,V-Chan.In the 1950s through the 1980s,kids got really good quality programming such as "Bugalooos","Captain Kangaroo","Tennessee Tuxedo" and "The Wuzzles". By the 1990s,kids' programming started going downhill a little with garbage like the animated "BeetleJuice" and "Real Ghostbusters Extreme",but the programming was still going strong with shows like "Sailor Moon","Ronin Warriors","Yo Yogi" and "Pirates of Dark Waters". In 2000 -2006,kids' programming started to slide downhill even further with trash like "Doug","Fairly OddParents","Rugrats All Growed Up",etc.Shows like "PowerPuff Girls" and "Dexter's Lab" showed quality in the beginning, but quickly slid into the "stupid and gross plots" category. In 2007 and this year, kids' programming completely died, replaced with sheer stupidity such as " Chowder" and "Billy and Mandy". Kids no longer get to enjoy the exciting adventures of "She-Ra",or funny humour like "Go-Go Gophers";instead, they have to watch meaningless shows like "Ed Edd and Eddy".....the only good quality programming kids have these days are "Pokemon","Totally Spies",the Disney character cartoons,"The Proud Family" and "Kim Possible". There's some stuff there that I disagree with you about. A lot of the shows you named as trash I used to love: BeetleJuice, The Fairly Oddparents, etc. They were silly and entertaining, but often contained a message; shows like Doug and Rugrats in particular. But now I think a lot of the shows anymore don't have a point. There's no plot, no real characters or character development, and there's nothing to be learned. That isn't to say that everything need s to have a moral, I'm just saying that shows like "Chowder" and "Camp Lazlo", etc. contribute nothing to today's children in terms of intelligence or moral learning.

Dude, Foster's Home For Imaginary Friends is absolutely awesome! That show is so calming to me... but still kind of funny.
I don't really like anything else on CN though, not even on Adult Swim.
Disney Channel's cartoons are actually pretty good in my opinion. That Phineas and Ferb show is kind of funny, and The Replacements is kind of cute.
Nickelodeon's cartoons do suck now though... Spongebob was good until the director quit and they kept making he show without him. It was supposed to end after, I think season four, but they just kept going and now it's awful.

I dont like anything anymore. It's just me and Veoh now I agree, many T.V. shows have stooped to a new low. I mean they are already making a High School Musical 4.....thats right 4! NOOOOO! I admit, the songs are catchy, but it gives a message to kids that high school will be like that..all fair and understanding. It not all glitz and glamor like those people think it is. There will be problems.

You know what's another problem with cartoons nowadays? Voice acting. It seems that production companies are under the opinion that good voice actors aren't required for a show to be good. I'm not just talking about dubbed animes either---I mean almost every show. Yes, I'm looking at you, Seth McFarlane.
Then again, the standard set by people such as Mel Blanc, Rob Paulsen, and Dan Castellaneta is pretty high. Long John Baldry should get special mention as well simply because his Robotnik voice is pure awesome.

The only song I liked was the group song at the end of 1...because I was able to legimately shout "WILDCATS!" as loud as possible XD ...are they really making a 4?

I always hated High School Musical I never liked it because it was so unreal and shallow, but it worked and they'll have like ten sequels until fans realize and say "Hey, this is stupid" So, I'm happy to say they have their day numbered

Actually, I don't think Seth McFarlane is all that bad in Family Guy. Voicing the three main characters is no easy task. Really, I think it should be said that production companies are under the opinion that good voice actors aren't required for a show to sell. And they're right, sadly.
What? Was there a High School Musical 3? What bugs me most about this franchise is how you hear more computer work than the actor's actual singing. Why can't we hear the singer's actual voice more? You know, like in a musical?

However, other than Peter, Stewie, and Quagmire, his voice among the characters (including Brian) isn't really all that different. I think Seth Green is probably the best on Family Guy in terms of voicing---even if it is only one character.

Yeah, Seth Green shows talent in that show, because without being told it's him, how would you ever know?
Everyone seems to think they can voice act... that's one of the main reasons I don't give most fandubs a chance. You need to have talent to voice act, that's why most of the time things like that are BLAH. Like the Rugrat voice actors... I loved them. XD The old one that is. All Grown Up is just... icky. Especially since somehow they all have the SAME VOICE even though they're like what? 12, 13 years older? lol But yeah, people these days either think they need to be completely stupid with no plot, or they need every episode to have ridiculously exaggerated "lessons" that kids don't listen to anyway lol. They think they are somehow fixing teens problems by exaggerating them and showing them the 'good' road to take...
Anyway.
I do have to say, that there is an actual GOOD teen show that shows people problems and real high school drama: Degrassi, I LOVE that show.
But yeah... most of them are either pointless, or have too much of a point... if that makes any sense. And yes, most cartoons have craptastic voice acting lol

It'll start again!

I think TotallyUsagi meant that you wouldn't be able to know Chris is voiced by Seth Green unless someone told you. I can hear a little bit of him in Chris's voice, but if I didn't know better already I wouldn't have guessed it was Seth Green doing his voice. Of course, if you've ever heard him say "Stoopid monkey!" at the end of every Robot Chicken episode, you can easily figure out "hey, that's the guy who does Chris Griffin's voice!"
