The acts of PGSM are downloading.. but when I try to unzip them, it says it's not a proper archive file. Is this an issue with the site and the way the files are, or my computer?

This ain't a singular incident, I can think of at least 5 threads(and probably 20++ daily emails to Betty Ann) about corrupted zips.
Told you there's something borked in the download script
Anyway, redownloading, and/or using the included in XP/Vista Zip archive handler was found to do the trick.
usually...

I redownloaded and that didn't help.

It is not a problem with the script. I think it's people connections, because slow connections are the ones with the problem 99% of the time. Rissachu: there's a sticky thread in the suggestions board about this issue... have you tried there?

Betty Ann, come on, people are downloading larger files on dial-up from other sites too, and it's not like they have this issue every day.

it does seem to be largely a zip issue, using the built in windows unzipper usually works where the stricter ones don't

I couldn't find a sticky in the suggestions thread, so if you could please point me to it, I would appreciate it.
I don't have a slow connection either, so I highly doubt that is the issue.

That's cuz it's not in Suggestions, it's in Site News.

Ok, well I am fairly computer literate here and none of those issues in the thread match with my issue. It just plainly states, when I go to unzip, "cannot open file, it does not appear to be a valid archive".. and I've downloaded it several times, with several different PGSM Acts.
I thought maybe it was my computer being screwy with Winzip, but I downloaded some mp3s from another site and unzipped them just fine.
I dunno what the issue is. I think I'll just go look for it on YouTube. Lol.

rissachu thats is what the strict (proper)zip programs tell ya, the one that comes with windows works, but if you've winzip is installed, its set its self to defealt what you need to do is right the file, goto "open with..." and choose "compressed (zipped) folder" that should work, if not and you can't find them all on youtube(which is likely) I can come up with two alternatives

I've noticed that WinZip NEVER works on un-zipping things from this site...however, WinAce does. So does every other program I've used.
Which leads me to believe that WinZip is the problem.

they don't all... but since ms things are notoriously buggy and lousey at follewing standards they did't invent... it leads me to the conclusion that not all zip programs follow the latest standard/correctly follow... and if it were zipped using such a program...

Yep, I had the same problems with the episodes, and I used Winzip. I tried Winrar and that Unzip Wizard thing too, nothing worked, it always said the file was screwed up. But Winace worked, and the episodes work on it too. So there's your problem.

I had the same predicament a few times but usually after I re-downloaded it worked. Hmm... I use winRar if you're wondering as well .

Redownloading the files failed to work. Winzip and WinRAR failed too, but the good old Windows default extracter worked fine with me.
