Nerd topic. I was wondering what everyone has at home. I have a Dell Dimension 8250 that's over five years old. I got a hard drive failure error yesterday, so now I suddenly have to get a new one asap. Right now the one I'm on is a ticking bomb... for the hdd dying anyway. >_>;

The laptop I have right now is a Sony Vaio I got when I graduated high school three years ago. It's a gigantic piece of crap, but it didn't help that I spilled soda on it last month and pretty much rendered the keyboard useless. I have to use a USB keyboard now. There's also some lsass.exe error, so I have to repeatedly hit F1 when it starts up to bypass it. That had nothing to do with the soda spill -- my friend's Vaio did the same thing after she had it for about a year. tl;dr: Sony Vaios, don't get them. I'm planning on getting a MacBook Pro once I get my taxes back. I'm only $400 away from being able to get my shiny new computer, I'm so excited!

My computer is a Compaq Presario. This computer is from 2003, as a Christmas gift I asked for back then. But, I have upgraded it a little bit, to run better since then. It was a very slow computer before the few upgrades but it works a lot better after thse upgrades! It's not a gaming computer. It's just a normal computer that can surf the net, type my fanfics, play my various video game music, play my SNES emulator, and a couple other tasks it can handle. Otherwise, I'm good with my computer as it is.

A Reactor! Well, not really, a crappy Celeron with crappy overall configuration... I use it for everything, given I can't afford a new one.

I'm away at school, so I have a Sony Vaio laptop, though I don't remember the model. I've had some issues now and then, but are result of Windows Vista's bugs than the hardware. Overall though, I pretty happy with it. I learned my way around and it does everything I want. The new Vaio models look pretty awesome too.

I have an HP Pavilion, a shiny silver one. I've had it for about 4 or so years, still runs well and does what I need it to. However it needs a bigger harddrive and a cleaning - my harddrive is really dinky so I keep running out of space.
I'm happy with it though, if it does what I want it to I'm good.

I have an HP laptop my parents gave me last year as a graduation gift. It has 1 GB RAM and it uses Windows Vista I'm not really fond of technology so I can't say that much but this thing works really well and it's still quite fast, even though I tend to fill it with so much crap

Really, though, whatever kind of computer you get, it's really just a matter of taking care of it--both hardware and software.
