What did you think of the idea of Sailor Moon turning into Princess Sailor Moon when her emotions run too high?
I'll give my opinions when I feel less lazy, because I'm sure this will turn into a rant if I start going. ^^

I kind of liked the idea because it was a breath of fresh air away from the "protect the princess" stuff. In the anime/manga they showed princess Serenity pure hearted and peaceful(and perfect grrrrr), but in PGSM she was somewhat evil and selfish^^ Seeing the senshi and Usagi trying to prevent Princess Sailor Moon from taking over her body, as I said before, was a breath of fresh air. I also liked her henshin and fuku.

I think PGSM made Serenity seem more princess-like. The stern, serious and somewhat selfish princess is a major contrast to lighthearted, innocent Usagi. They showed that there was a clear line between Usagi's past and present lives. I appreciated that difference, because you can see how life affected Usagi in each life. (... does that make sense?) I didn't quite get that in the anime. Serenity and Usagi seemed to be the same person in the anime.

I actually thought it was alright... It's like what numbmelody said that you could see the difference in Usagi's present life and her past life. You also see that Serenity was very very very powerful and was sooo much in love with Endymion that she was desperate enough to destroy the world... and that is totally awesome.

I liked it, too, and I agree with most of what has already been said. It's the romance that got to me. She loved Endymion SO much and she was willing to do literally anything to get him back. I'm a total sucker for things like that and it's refreshing to see a different version of Serenity (one that was dangerous). Usagi had to watch from the sidelines as Hina and Mamoru became a couple...but Princess Sailor Moon is the opposite of that. She didn't just watch, she did something about it. She won't let anyone else have her man. I think her determination was admirable.
Like SeraFirefly said, I loved Usagi and the Senshi's struggle to keep Princess Sailor Moon at bay. I remember when Sailor Moon tried desperatly to stop Princess Sailor Moon from emerging and Shingo almost got hurt. She was able eventually able to stop Princess Sailor Moon from taking over at that instance because of her love.
I think more than anything, it showed how strong Usagi was because of the damage that Princess Sailor Moon was doing to the people she loved.

At first ,I have to admit that I was really shocked at Princess Sailor Moon, because she seemed a bit cold to me, I guess I was surprised seeing her like that. I don't see her that way anymore, I actually really like "the change" in PGSM. I agree that Princess Sailor Moon was the complete opposite of Usagi. Naru even got hurt because of her. I like how Usagi tried to keep Princess Sailor Moon under control from causing more destruction. Usagi tried to keep her emotions low, and tried to keep "smiling" all the time, so that the silver crystal wouldn't react. I agree with you, I liked the change, and she actually did something, the first time she changed to Princess Sailor Moon, she was so determined about not loosing Endymion.

PSM is one of my favorite characters (I actually completed my cosplay of her -finally- in June). I don't really normally like the character of Usagi, but I enjoyed her much more because of the new aspect of her struggle. I like the part of her that wasn't all sunshine and giggles and happiness and I agree that it was an excellent contrast to her brighter modern self.
I also liked the fact that she really had to prove that her inner strength was as strong as her outer strength in order to save everyone.

In my opinion she is great. At last there was someone really strong cause earlier power of all senshi were comparable. It was good idea to create her as cold-blooded girl who is ready to destroy the world for her love. I really enjoyed moments when she appeared.
