Back when ADV first released the Uncut DVD box sets for Sailor Moon (Original Season and Season R) I purchased these things right away. Just the same as anyone else that first purchased these I had to go through getting a replacement copy for the errors that were in the sets. Ultimately I still love these boxsets, but the quality is horrible.
Now these sets are no longer in print in America and no one else has been granted the rights to distribute these DVDs and get better quality ones released.
My question is since I cannot purchase a legit copy (which I always do when one is available because I want to support the artists that worked on this wonderful show) - is there a copy out there of these two first sets that are better quality and still have English subtitles? I would just buy the Japanese DVD or Laserdisc versions but unfortunately I am not fluent in Japanese currently.
Any help would be greatly appreciated and sorry if this question has been asked many times before - I could not find it when I searched the forums.

Do you mind sharing who you bought your set from?

I bought the first and second seasons of Sailor Moon just before they went out of print. I thought the quality was pretty good and the only thing that annoyed me was that one episode was skipped from Sailor Moon R. I also bought a bootleg Stars set. For a bootleg, the quality was alright and the subtitles were pretty accurate.

Well, the best known version of the anime is the Japanese one - it's fully remastered, quality of sound and picture is absolutely superb! You can get them at www.cdjapan.co.jp. I'm now collecting the whole of it.
