"Stop right there!" the cop's bright blue and gray mall security uniform was apparent in the crowd. It was a big hustle bustle, a Saturday in the mall... and the perfect day and place to steal expensive jewelery from the . Joseph Creighsoft, a fifteen year old sophomore boy, was trying to impress his girlfriend. She was his second girlfriend and they'd been together since the middle of freshman year.
With his last girlfriend, it had been pretty much a failure. He was intent on keeping this one to last. It was already pretty good, lasting for over a year already. Really good, actually. But he knew he had to do something to wow her... and this was it, right? Stealing. Except now, he was caught. The cop took him to mall security. Joe was absoluetly terrified, because it wasn't just a shirt that he stole, it was a $500 piece of jewelery.
His parents were furious with him. How could he have done such a stupid thing? they thought. Ofcourse, it was worse when they found out his previous life of crime. He lived in a ghetto part of time and had got into numerous fights with kids. His parents hadn't even been aware until the principal contacted them.
His parents sent him to a school for troubled highschoolers, hoping that he would meet some new friends and learn to be a better person. Through the whole experience, he learned that doing things like this were almost useless. Later in life, he tried getting a job, but he was rejected because of his crime life. Even if it wasn't that big a deal to him, the suburban area he had moved to cared a lot about it.
So, he opened up his own business - a troubled youth highschool. Thinking how much it had improved him, he found it to be perfect. Starting his own business was ideal seeing as no employers would hire him. He lost his girlfriend, and, for a short while, his pride. He just wants these kids to have what he had. Kids with crime life or kids who've had frightening experiences in their past life.
Well, into the 21st century - here these kids are. But it's not so simple. They're still on the road to victory or losing... however their lives turn out to be. Taking the right roads is difficult - but maybe you can find your way...
or if you can't.
See, it's every modern kid's challenge.
Welcome to life.
