Serenity and Endymion's relationship was forbidden because the Earth resented the moon/was jealous of the moon/wanted to wage war on the moon/etc, right? Well, I thought of something else that also could cause a problem with interplanetary relationships, and it's based on genetics. Now, I haven't had a science class in a while, so if this turns out to be a crackpot idea just ignore it. lol. I'm under the assumption that there will be no next generation 'Sailor Earth' because Mamoru and Usagi created a child together, and that child has her mother's planet's power. I'm assuming that Chibi-Usa is Chibi *Moon* because Usagi's star seed is so powerful, so it's like... a super dominant 'planet power' gene. lol. I have no clue if that's how it works, though. But, if this is correct and planetary power is passed down through the more powerful starseed, whenever two planets create a child they essentially would cancel out the weaker starseed's planet's power. Like, if you have a hypothetical male venus and a female mercury, and mercury's starseed is more powerful, any children they produce would gain their power from mercury, not venus. So you essentially erase any future Sailor Venus's. But, I seem to remember the manga saying starseeds always existed, and simply returned to the Galaxy Cauldron to be reborn as people. I could have gotten that totally wrong though. lol. Sorry, this post was kind of sloppy but I think I got the basic point across. Hopefully.

I believe you are talking about dominance. Am I right? This would then mean we'd have to ask the question whether the star seeds are inherited in the first place and, if so, whether we can consider them as mendelian traits or not. Of course there are problems with this.
Starseeds, if I remember right, are not passed down in the genetic sense. They enter the body, are used, then they go back to where they came when it is time. However, assuming the starseeds start out as blank slates each time they are distributed, I would imagine that it depends on the person who recieves the seed. The person's energy and birth planet might shape the seed and that could be the genetic part. At least the energy.
I'm not sure if I'm right or if it makes sense to anyone else but those are my ideas on the subject.

That's what I thought at first too, but then I wondered why the planet power seems to only be passed down through parents. It makes me wonder if the starseed just chooses to be born as the child of the past senshi, or what. But, if that's the case, you'd have multiple planet starseeds since they are in a never ending cycle of rebirth, right? @_@

The more I think about this, the more I want to try to find a logical explanation to this. lol

Let me think for a minute...Okay I think I have it.
I looked at the Oracle's encyclopedia. Star seeds are the souls of individuals. Every person has one. Sailor soldiers have special starseeds or, as the Oracle says that the manga says, Sailor Crystals.
I think it is possible for there to be more than one senshi per planet/celestial body. Sailor Moon has Sailor Chibimoon so ther could possibly be a Sailor Mercury 2, Mars 2 and so on. As for inheritance of planet powers, I'd say that would be in he mother's genes since, from what I have heard, only girls can be sailor senshi. Still, I think, those inherited things would be the energies in the starseed not the starseed itself. I still imagine that they start out as blank slates. If they are meant to be a Sailor Crystal they'd go to a planet and whatever planet they are on the person who gets the crystal will be the senshi of that planet. If that meakes sense.

Well, if we take into account Galaxia's manga story, senshi can even "reject" their planet to go look for another. When they say "the chosen star seeds grow into sailor crystals and go to the chosen planets" may be that means the sailor crystal/senshi herself must choose/select the planet? If that is so, can two crystals/senshi select the same planet? Maybe it can be so, especially if they're related? Like Moon and Chibimoon, a senshi who was born from another would want to remain the closest possible to her mother?
As for that dominant gene, I know she's inherited her mother's power, but Chibiusa's crystal is called the "Pink" Moon crystal when it was always called "Silver". Perhaps that's because of her "mixed" heritage?
I no longer think Chibiusa calling herself Sailor Chibi "Moon" is as significant as I used to think... Have you noticed that in the manga, though Chibiusa transforms into a Sailor Senshi in the Black Moon saga, everyone keeps calling her "Chibiusa", and she's not refered to as "Sailor Chibi Moon" till the next saga? So, what if it's the very sailor senshi herself who chooses what she will be called? What if no one called her Chibi Moon because Chibiusa hadn't had the chance yet to decide what her senshi name would be? What if Sailor Senshi names have to be "made up"?
We have several examples that Sailor Senshi names MAY be chosen at random. For example:
1) Sailor Kakyuu, who is the senshi of planet Kinmoku, invokes the power of Kinmoku to transform just like Sailor Mercury invokes the power of Mercury, yet she dosn't call herself Sailor Kinmoku, but Sailor "Kakyuu"...
2) We have, again, Sailor Galaxia, who we know in the manga that she's not REALLY Sailor "Galaxia": she rejected her planet and then fashioned herself into the guardian/owner of the Galaxy Cauldron, but her real senshi identity should have been "Sailor The-name-of-her-original-planet-whatever-that-was".
3) Then we have Sailor Chibi Chibi, who is a "fake" senshi identity (the true senshi is Sailor Cosmos) but a quite complete one, even with a transformation phrase of her own and all, invoking the power of the Chibi Chibi crystal (er... at least I like to think that phrase is part of the disguise and there is no ACTUAL Chibi Chibi crystal... or that Sailor Cosmos' doesn't really need that so-called Chibi Chibi crystal's power to transform! *sweat drop*)
4) And let's not get started on Sailor V... or Sailor Luna from PGSM (who was also designed by Naoko, so she counts as canon concerning what the creator of the series thought on what a senshi's name could be, no matter the version).
In other words... if *not every senshi* is called after her planet, may be that means senshi names can be chosen by each senshi, and may be Chibiusa "chose" for her senshi form to be called "Chibi Moon" due to all the admiration she feels for her mom, and because she eventually growed to lke the nickname "Chibiusa", so she decided on a combination of both, "Chibi Moon".

You may be right. the four points you bring up seems accurate. I'd even say it is possible for more than one crystal to have a planet. I found something while researching this. According to the Oracle Phobos ands Deimos were senshi in training on their home planet in the manga. So a planet can have more than one senshi. As for being related, there is nothing there.
