I'm a bit curious. Probably a weird curisity about something that may or may not be true or even relevant.
How close are you to the astrological traits for your sign?
I myself am a Pisces and have read quite a few profiles for that sign. I've noticed that they are pretty accurate. However, every once in a while I see something like being athletic in the description. I'm not athletic at all.

I can't even remember what some profiles say about an "Aquarius". That's my sign. I'll go do some research and see how close to the traits I am.

I am such an Aquarius that I once told a friend I was one, and he was like, "It figures!" I like being an Aquarius, though, 'cause we're all kinds of creative ^_^ . The thing I don't like about it is that I have problems with my ankles/legs, which I've heard can totally be blamed on being an Aquarius.

I like being creative too. In one place I read that the feet of a Pisces person can either be large or small. I'm one of the small footed people. I don't think it's too bad though. My problems come from the resperatory area according to one of the more detailed profiles I've seen. Which is true with me. The coughing gets annoying after a while but it isn't too big of deal.

I am a Scorpio, and I'm REALLY close to the ideal portrait. Read everywhere the charachteristics, and there I am. Quite funny, isn't it? I don't usually let myself fall into the trap of the daily Horrorscope ( ), I find them unuseful but sometimes funny, while I actually find psychologically interesting the Birth Chart. It shows stunningly right aspects of the personality, it's entertaining. Anyway, I'm not that into it to make myself a Chart, but I like to read an already made one.

I don't believe in the daily horroscope either. Their predictions are so vague that anyone can place events that happen in their life into them. I am, however, amazed and interested at how close many of the profiles are.

I'm a Virgo. Not sure what traits it has, though.

I'm a Gemini, and I'm like the perfect stereotype. Not just Gemini, but my rising and element and zodiac and that all weave in together quite well.
As for horror-scopes, I usually check them at the end of the day and see how they measured up. Sometimes they're right; sometimes they're off - I look at different places.

I'm a Taurus and I don't really believe in the horoscope, nor do I fancy the idea that our destinies are dictated by the random rock floating at X spot in the sky at Y moment.
However a person whom I have a lot of reasons to believe knew nothing conclusive about me portrayed my character's spitting image in a natal/horoscope chart thingy.
Rather scary, that was.

I can say that horoscopes are too vague to predict anything specific about someone's life. Especially those that you get in the newspaper or on Yahoo. However, I don't count everything out Astrologically speaking. Astrological traits would be something I'm not counting out.
There is a possibility that we are more connected to the universe then we realize. After all we were all born in the same universe and in the same solar system (Unless someone's not telling us something). It would be interesting to find out how connected we are.
Still you may be right. If you are, at least it was something fun to think about.

Yes, it's true. . . I was born in a whole other galaxy. We didn't even have the same constellations as what you have here! Aquarius is just what I claim to fit in with you humans; my real Zodiac by the reckoning of my home planet is Ringletorf. Ringletorfs are known for being terrible liars and for procrastinating constantly, which is why I feel I fit my sign so well.

Well, I'm Sagittarius, but I'll be honest about this, I don't think there is such a thing as "the astrological traits for your sign", different sources of information will tell you conflicting things. A lot of the supposed accuracy is due to a combination of vaguess and our own eagerness to fill in the gaps. A few years ago, as part of a fantasy world I was creating, I invented my own entire system of astrology for my invented people to believe in, and wrote up several birth charts for a group of internet friends (some of whom I didn't know very well, in case you think I was rigging the system). Apparently, my system was uncannily accurate, even though I knew I'd made the whole thing up! You couldn't believe in astrology after an experience like that.
Another amusing coincidence: in my SM fanfic, I'd decided for independent reasons that Vilui's birthday put her under the sign of Scorpio, and when I looked up Scorpio traits on Wikipedia, it was scarily accurate (in terms of her character in the fic, of course, not the original).
