Has anyone tried it? I think its wonderful. We meet in my school's wellness center and for part of the hour we meditate and in the other part we talk about the different things involved with it.

I'm no good at meditation. First, my mind wanders. Then, after a while, I just get bored and stop.

That was how I was at first. Even now I have problems with it. My other problem is trying to stay awake. The trick is to focus on a sound. If your mind wanders just go back to the sound. In the thing at school We sometimes listen to these CDs of Tibetan bowls or soothing music.

We used to meditate in drama class, but I would always fall asleep. X3 I think it's a really great idea, but I have trouble putting everything out of my mind, I'm too anxious.

I wouldn't be able to do meditation. I honestly will say I'd fall asleep or get really bored and stop. So, I never tried it.

That has happened to me a few times. I guess with lots of other things you need practice.

I meditate frequently, and I think it's quite entertaining, after a while. Obviously, your mind WILL wander around. It's not useful to try harder and harder to stop it, it will continue. What is important, is to limit it as much as you can, without becoming crazy about it! XD Practice makes perfect!

Practice does make perfect. What you said about limiting the mind from wandering sounds much better. I need a bit of practice myself but I think I'm getting better.

A good hint is to focus your imagination in one direction, for example in a symbolized view of your mind. Example: view it like a field, with many things on it. Don't focus too much on what's not important, but just on what you consider important for yourself. :=)

That sounds interesting. I'll have to try that. We focus on a sound or our breathing.

I'm bad at focusing on one thing. That's why I'm always multitasking ^^;;; .

I have probems focusing sometimes too. My mind sometimes jumps around randomly. Its called "monkey mind" or at least that is what the meditation instructor says. There are ways of dealing with it. For example practice and patience.
