To haruka173: I am aware of that being in Super S. I know we are talking about R Season Rini. I wanted to point out that at some point she does find out at some point, if not in the R Season, then in Super or Super S. * Mild spoiler ahoy! I'm sorry if I seemed a bit rude when I pointed out that R Season Chibiusa/Rini may not have known who the past incarnation of her mother was. I had felt that during this discussion, we were losing track of the fact that R Season Chibiusa/Rini would only have learned the truth of her parentage in the episode where the Silver Moon Crystal was revealed to have been sealed inside her all along.

It's not like Neo-Queen Serenity borrowed it from someone else. I'm sorry, but that sentence made by day. Now I'm imagining her going up to some random person (hey... can I borrow that for the next few thousand years???)

Does anyone else think it may have to do with the whole identity blindness thing that seems to plague the show? (how no one seems to notice that usagi LOOKS JUST LIKE sailormoon, and all of the others as well). I think that the senshi forms have some kind of built in reverse-change blindness effect, so that even real life friends don't recolonize them. (change blindness is when you don't notice huge changes right in front of you, as long as you don't see the actual change take place) The last sentence was paraphrased from cracked.com. They have an awesome article on five ways your brain messes with you and # 5 is change blindness. www.cracked.com/article_17103_5-ways-your-brain-messing-with-your-head.htmlI think the whole effect of them not being recognized is some reverse of that... like they don't realize how they obviously appear the same physically... or something. ;
