Is it just me, or have a lot of Sailor Moon sites been shutting down or going dormant lately? I am just as guilty... I know I haven't updated in a while. But it seems like some are even closing now (the links are just gone). What gives? Are there any new Sailor Moon sites out there to take their place? Has anyone seen any great new websites they want to share? If so, this is the place to do it! I'll get the ball rolling with one cute new blog I found about Sailor Moon. It has lots of interesting posts! sailormoon-obsession.blogspot.com/

Yeah, it is true that alot of fansites end up dying. I remember the day of "CardCaptor Sakura FanSites" and I even had one myself. Ever since I couldn't update it alot of my friends closed their sites down too. I guess that as time goes on other anime become more popular, people begin to lose interest or the webmaster/mistress has far too much on their hands as they get older.
I was thinking of making a multi-anime site with Sailor Moon included, that way I could add more anime as they became popular therefore it stays alive! =D
Ok, I'll stop here. But, yeah, I see your point.

Um...I have 2 character sites in the work, one for Queen Serenity/Silver Milennium and one for Sailor Neptune. But I have a problem where I will start websites and never finish them, so it remains to be seen if they will live.
I do have Minor Heaven, but that's an otaku senshi site.
Speaking of, the otaku fandom is far from dead; actually, I think it's getting kind of a resurgence. So you're in luck if that's what you're looking for.

Don't worry none of my sites are going away. I just don't have much to add to Shadowed Galaxy anymore, but I have plenty to add to Shadow Galactica. I was considering taking on a shrine to another character, but I'm not sure who it would be yet.

Sadely, I found a lot that last updated years ago. Maybe 2005 at the latest. It's kind of sad to see them shut down. Perhaps some just lose interest or just gave up, as no money to run it.

Meh. If we lose a couple of bland sites it's not big thing. The really nice ones are the ones that are still active.

Yeah I've noticed that too. It's like the Sailor Moon fans are dying and moving on to other interests. Or life itself gets in the way. I've tried making Sailor Moon sites before, but it is a lot of work and I always gave up.
The thing is, I will always like Sailor Moon. It will always be my favorite anime/show of all time. Nothing can change that. But we all go through times where we're less obsessed/interested in it. Then we get into it all over again, then we don't again. It's an on and off thing. Like, this is my first post here in a while.

Yeah, I remember in grade seven I was psychotically obsessed with it. Like freakishly obsessed. Like two the point where the stories I handed in for English class were all Sailor Moon fan fictions XD. Then in the middle of grade eight it cooled down. Other interests. But now that I've started going on more websites and stuff, it's starting to pick up speed again. Although I'm not to sure I'll be as obsessed as I was in grade seven. I was crazy. XDDD

Exactly. There was a point in my life, when I was 12, where I was so obsessed with Sailor Moon. Practically every thought in my mind had something to do with it. It has cooled down a lot since then but it will still remain as something special to me. That sounded lame, but it's true.

Ah, well. XD When I was younger, I even created a whole Creation-of-the-world related to Sailor Moon, and I wrote an entire comic book (I did all the drawings too ) about it. It was pretty cool too! XD Maybe one day I'll scan all the 100 pages. Duh.

You should. I want to read it.
I'm sad, it seems like Sailor Moon is dying. I mean I know it's a pretty old anime, but it's damn good. And it's a classic.

I'm still holding my hopes high that it will make a return someday. I mean a huge return! Heck, I've seen a couple animes of late, that were redone. Sure, different plotline, but same characters. But, the same thing can come to Sailor Moon someday. You never know, really. A lot of old things are comng back from the grave lately. Sailor Moon may get the revival treatment someday. I still have my hopes up for it to come back strong!

I don't know, there is a shop near my house that has Sailor Moon written on the window (they sell some pretty neat Sailor Moon stuff, but it's mostly bootlegs.) and in Anime Insider they mentioned Sailor Moon in like, three different pages so it can't be completely dead. Granted, it's entered some Terri Schiavo state where it's barely alive. But still!
