He everyone!
Just a discussion starter, are there any quotes from books, movies, television, ect that you love?
Serious ones:
These are my favorites from Victor Hugo's Les Miserables
-So long as there shall exist, by reason of law and custom, a social condemnation, which, in the face of civilisation, artificially creates hells on earth, and complicates a destiny that is divine, with human fatality; so long as the three problems of the age — the degradation of man by poverty, the ruin of woman by starvation, and the dwarfing of childhood by physical and spiritual night — are not solved; so long as, in certain regions, social asphyxia shall be possible; in other words, and from a yet more extended point of view, so long as ignorance and misery remain on earth, books like this cannot be useless.
--Preface
Be it true or false, what is said about men often has as much influence upon their lives, and especially upon their destinies, as what they do.
--Volume I, Book I, Chapter I
There are many tongues to talk, and but few heads to think.
--Volume I, Book I, Chapter I
The lighter side--
Fat Tony: Milhouse, may I borrow you're three ring binder? Milhouse: Which one? Garfield or "Love is.."? Fat Tony: I prefer the cat. He hates Mondays, we can all relate. (-from the Simpsons)

I'd rather not post my serious favorite quotes, I wouldn't like risking people throwing me funny looks! So, I'll stick with: "I will CRUSH, and DESTROY, and... Oooh! Shiny!" "STOP POKING ME!"

I have far too many favorite quotes. For now, I'll post what I can remember.
Serious: Galaxia: You don't have the courage or pride of a sailor soldier! Sailor Moon: If having the pride of a soldier means hurting each other, then I don't want it.
"You, the soldier of destruction, will not understand! The hands, the bodies, the words of our friends and the ones we love carry all kinds of power! My coming here, my living to this point, my ability to fight as a sailor soldier is because I have my friends and the ones I love! THAT is a sailor soldier!" - Sailor Moon, manga act 51
Homer: You know Maggie, the sooner kids learn to talk, the sooner they talk back. I hope you never say a word. (leaves the room) Maggie: Daddy. - The Simpsons, "Lisa's First Word"
"Until one has loved an animal, part of one's soul remains unawakened." - Anatole France
"Hang on to your dreams, Chip. The future is built on dreams. Hang on." - Optimus Prime, "The Core"
Optimus: Let's just say I have a much better appreciation for what you went through back then and why you... don't want to remember it. Ratchet: It's not that I don't WANT to remember. I HAVE to remember, for those who can't. - "The Thrill of the Hunt"
Lulzy: Patrick: Let me tell you a story! It's called "The Ugly Barnacle." Once there was an ugly barnacle. He was so ugly that everyone died. The end! - Spongebob, don't remember the episode.
"CROSSFIIIIYAAAAAH!" - The best commercial ever.
"Why do you wear glasses? I mean, you're really pretty, but you can only appeal to a tiny section of the fanbase." - Konata Izumi, Lucky Star
Zim: I put the fires out. Tallest Red: You made them WORSE. Zim: Worse... or better? - Invader Zim, "The Nightmare Begins"
"Charming man. I wish I had a daughter so I could forbid her to marry one..." - Arthur Dent, The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy
"One of the things Ford Prefect had always found hardest to understand about humans was their habit of continuously stating and repeating the very very obvious, as in It's a nice day, or You're very tall, or Oh dear you seem to have fallen down a thirty-foot well, are you all right?" - The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy
News reporter: Also with us, Turanga Leela. Fry: Turanga?! Amy: That's her name, Philip. Bender: PHILIP?! - Futurama, "The Problem With Popplers"
"I've been talking to dead rabbits and feeding bloody walls. I've done horrifying things with salad tongs. It's really eaten into my social life." - Nny, Johnny the Homicidal Maniac issue 6

Here's one that I learned in high school

More of a funny one than anything. Or maybe, it's just there:
"Roads? Where we are going, we don't need...roads." quote from Doc Brown - Back to the Future.
