You know, it would be so great if one of these existed. But for now, does anyone know of any resources for r2 quality henshin or attack clips? Besides for, you know, buying them. (seeing as I am poor right now and have no money lol) I have a few of Venus, Mar's Crystal Power, and Moon's Eternal power, from some Stars dvd rips I downloaded via winny a few years ago. But, it's kinda hard to get stuff that way. Anyway, lemme know if anything turns up.

The Sailor Senshi Page has some good-quality ones. However, downloading them can be fiddly and a bit of a lottery sometimes. If it doesn't work and tells you it can't connect to the FTP, you'll have to come back later becuase then it means too many people are trying to download.

If SM Center doesn't have something in particular, I can always rip it from my R2 collection. Just as long as it isn't from SuperS or Sailor Stars, because I don't have them yet.

Is there something special about the R2 version?

It's the original Japanese DVDs. Better picture and such.

But the American dvd's would have just the same quality?

Not from what I've seen. Also, I'm not sure if the subtitles can be taken off in the American R1s. From what I've heard, you can't, but I'm probably wrong.

The R2 DVDs have much better picture quality and the colors look a lot better. The best improvement is the sound quality though, it sounds ten times better than the R1 DVDs. Here's a comparison of the picture quality: R1: R2: Ellethwen, you can remove the subtitles from the R1 DVDs, but you can't remove them through the menu. You have to use the subtitle button on your remote to remove them.

Oh out of curiosity, where did you get your R2 copies? (I want!) Thanks for offering to rip something specific I can't find too. lol.

I got them all from YesAsia except for my movie boxset. That was a special limited-edition deal, so I coughed up a couple hundred bucks and got it from the Yahoo! Japan auctions. They're awesome, but yes, very expensive. If I hadn't gotten a ton of money for my birthday and Christmas last year, I wouldn't have started buying them. Now I'm addicted. I might not be able to get SuperS and Sailor Stars this year because I'm buying a new laptop for Christmas, but oh well.

X___X I added up how much the entire series would cost off yesasia and got like 3,000 bucks. FFFFFFFF......udge. I looked on amazon japan and it was a lot less.... but as I am broke and have no job, no high quality dvds for me. Just wait until I become a productive member of society with a steady income though. *shakes fist*

They're less from Amazon Japan? I should look into that when I get around to buying the rest. I've already bought Transformers DVDs from Amazon UK, so Japan shouldn't be that much of a problem.
I'm a semi-productive member of society and I still can't afford the rest. ;_; Hopefully when I start working full-time I'll be able to get them.

I looked again and it's not THAT much less. I remembered ones on yesasia costing like 50 bucks, but when I look again they generally cost 40.99, although a few are like 50 (why lol). on Amazon JP they cost 3,990 YEN , which is like $36? So from 40 it's not that much less, but if they were 50 it's like 15 bucks less (which would add up lol).
Quick question, how do you buy stuff in Japan (dumb I know). But do you need yen? Can you pay for it with a credit card? lol I'm so stupid. -_-;

They also tend to be around $36-37 on CD Japan as well. I have no idea why some of them run around $50 on YesAsia, so that's why I'll probably buy the rest of them from CD Japan even though they don't have free shipping. I've bought all of my Japanese Sailor Moon stuff with my credit card. Well, it's actually my check/debit card, but it has a Visa logo so I can use it to buy stuff online. You don't need yen because if you pay with your credit card, you pay the dollar (or whatever) equivalent and it converts to yen automatically. It's really easy!
