What their items are made out of.

This is the product of another of my late night insomnia cases.

But I always wondered what the henshin items and other items are made out of. I mean, if we think about it scientifically, matter shouldn't be able to be created or destroyed, but they seem to be manifested. Do you think the henshin items are made out of metal, or something else? I also wonder why their senshi outfits came to look exactly how they did. Well I know it's thanks to Naoko, but this is from the SM universe perspective. lol. It just seems odd that their senshi uniforms would be made out of some regular cloth... like cotton for example.

I'm inclined to believe that the lockets, wands, and transformation pens are made out of metal. For example, when Sailor Moon drops her wand in the S movie, it makes a very metallic-y sound when it hits the pavement and makes another clinky sound when she picks it back up. In the R movie, after Fiore demands she drop the Cutie Moon Rod, it makes a pretty metally thud when it hits the ground. And when Kaolinite throws Usagi's locket to the ground (I'm blanking on the episode number right now, I want to say 100 or 101), it yet again sounds pretty metallic when it hits the ground and slides away.

But to be a wee bit nitpicky, we don't see many of the objects actually manifest except for the Grail, starseeds, crystals, etc. Many of the objects like the wands and transformation objects and even the Silver Crystal are upgraded from previous objects, therefore changing form and still staying in line with the "matter cannot be created nor destroyed" rule.

I'm inclined to believe their uniforms are a little more than just cloth though. They do take damage pretty easily, but they stand a LOT of wear and tear and repair themselves automatically. It must be nice to have outfits that do that.

Yes, but if that applies in the SM universe, most of their transformations and attacks wouldn't work either, not to mention the monsters'

Yes, I also don't think that the items are made of materials that can be found on our Earth. Maybe the items are made out materials which can be found on the particular planets the Senshi are representing!!

I always figured that they were made of particularly sturdy metals, though not necessarily metals that are available here on Earth. As Sailor Cybertron pointed out, when they are dropped, they make very metallic noises.

I do think that the fabric of the uniforms is probably ordinary cloth, though perhaps with some sort of magical properties.

Judging by the fact that we are talking about Sailor Moon, it could very well be a whole other thing, which doesn't classify as a Metal, it just feels and looks like a metal.

I think they're suits are more like they are on Super Sentai, because even though their suits gets wholes or burns on them they repair automatically next transformation. Also it has protective properties, but in the Sailor Senshi's case, I think it protects their skin a little more.

I recon all the senshi's items are made out of some kind of magical substance that cease to exist in our world, as for their uniform, definitely normal fabrics with magical properties which enhances their defence against any element or anything. But for some reason, I always get the impression that Chibi Usa's Luna P Ball is made out of rubber...

Yeah, Luna P is really something else. It bounces for one. I think it could be made out of magical plastic or something.

I think Rini's Luna P ball is made out of magical rubber. To be honest, it looks metalic on the outside.

Wow, I never even thought about this subject before. I would have to say thought that the lockets and wands are made out of something from another planet. Such as sailor moon's items are made out of materials from the moon, or maybe they're just magical. I also think the senshi's uniforms are magical, since they repair all the time and seem to really protect the senshi.

Never thought of this...Maybe they are made of some sort of a light metal or something that can't be found on Earth...like Moon perhaps.
