I liked it because it was sort of like a rolemodel for me. I always like Amy and Rei. When I watched it (i thought this when i was five) I felt safe to go to bed at night because I knew they were fighting the Negaverse so they won't steal my energy! LOL Why do you like Sailor Moon?

Why do I like Sailor Moon? Hmm... let's see... most of it tends to be for personal and sentimental reasons, but just because I love everything about Sailor Moon! I like the plot, I like the characters, I like the art and the action! I really like Sailor Moon because it helped me actually get out there and make friends. I have always been socially awkward and find it very hard to talk with people, so I managed to make friends in sixth grade because we had Sailor Moon as a common interest. Although I'm not friends with them anymore, I've still been able to build up a bit of self-confidence thanks to Sailor Moon. Another reason I love Sailor Moon is because Usagi (or as I knew her back then, Serena) was a bit of a coping mechanism for me. My parents went through a very nasty divorce and I developed recurring depression and anxiety/panic attacks as a result, so watching Sailor Moon made me feel better about myself. I'm pretty clumsy and whiny, so Usagi gave me hope that someone who isn't exactly the brightest or most graceful girl out there can still find someone who loves her and a great group of friends who will be there for her. Through watching my Sailor Stars fansubs, roleplaying in AOL chatrooms (Crystal Tokyo Ball ) and reading the manga, I got through my parents' divorce a little easier. Ten years later, I'm still in love with Sailor Moon because it's helped improve my life a little bit. I still love coming home after work and watching an episode or two to relax and wind down.

Long answer: read my Sailor Dora trilogy, which explains in 200,000 words or so why I like Sailor Moon Short answer: I love the characters, most of all. Especially Rei and Yuichiro, Nephrite, Ami, and Makoto. And Cyprine too, now that I'm getting to understand her a little better than I used to But I also love it because it speaks to a very elemental level of the human condition -- no matter how many times you've seen it happen, it will always be satisfying to think that life's problems can be solved by saying to the person who's really hurt you, "In the name of the moon, I will punish you!" And what's great about it is that no matter what the senshi have to go through, no matter how many monsters they fight, they remain good and strong and courageous, even to the end. It makes you believe in the power of love

I love Sailor Moon. Number one is because it just brings back lovely memories from when I was 7 or 8, sitting at home watching Cartoon Network at 4:00pm watching Sailor Moon (unaware that there was an original Japanese that was much better, haha). I had loved Sailor Moon then. I also have fond memories of enjoying my trips to the bookstore so I could read the manga. When manga and anime started getting popular again around now (Naruto and Bleach etc.), I didn't really get into it, but I remembered that when I was little, I had in fact enjoyed something like manga/anime - Sailor Moon. I remembered how crazy I was for it. So, now that manga and anime is popular again, I picked it up to remember. Bam. Here I am now, at 15, loving it again. So it's a nostalgic thing as a first, but after watching it, there was so much I had not caught at 7 or 8. And then I just really really really love some of the storyline, and the characters. All the characters are just so real and have intricate backgrounds and histories woven into their personalities, it's really nice. And the love that the senshi all share for each other is another beautiful, poignant thing, that runs so deep. It's a good feeling. The characters always have a special place. And you know how heartbreaking and sad some of the episodes can be, and I like how a fiction story can bring that much emotion in me, that just shows how great the storyline and the love depicted is. I also love the manga artwork, it's so beautiful. I love the artbook pictures, they're absolutely stunning. It's my dream to own all the artbooks and manga volumes. And the songs are really nice too. :]] All in all, I think my biggest draw towards it is definitely my favorite characters.

Amy Rose's ten reasons to LOVE Sailor Moon ^^ 1) Varied personalities ^-^ It gets boring if they're all the same, but having Minako and Usagi somewhat alike just makes it comedic 2) As pointed above, the comedy. The series is serious and beautiful yet very comical too. It shows a vary of emotions ^^ 3) Homosexuality! I mean, come on! What American animations go past the borderlines and show homosexuality? I love seeing that on shows with lots of characters, makes it more real. 4) Cross-dressing. I know, I know, I'm sick. Seriously though, I think it's good to see 5) It secretly educates. Without knowing it, you're actually being taught something each episode or so (Well...in the American version, they make it sooo obvious) 6) Attacks. Gotta love the attacks 7) Colouuuuuuuurrrrrrsssss *o* 8) The age differences. It's good to see that not only fourteen-sixteen year olds can be superheroes 9) Girl power!! 10) The fact that so much can happen without an explanation
