I thought this could be a fun place to review and discuss books that we're reading, seeing as how there is are music, movie and manga threads already. As far as I know, there isn't a thread like this. I just finished "Kafta on the Shore" by Haruki Murakami. So good, I going to have to find more of his work! This novel was like nothing I've ever read, an amazing blend of old and new Japan, with incredible metaphysical elements. Now I'm reading "Will There Really Be a Morning" by Frances Farmer. So sad, but suprisingly well written. Poor Frances, her story is tragic, I can't believe she survived, and went on to a sucessful life afterwards!

I'm STILL reading The Host by Stephenie Meyer. I haven't had time to finish it and I'm about 200 pages away from the ending. Grr.
I'm also reading Our Dumbest Generation, or Don't Trust Anyone Under 30 by some jackwipe who likes to make sweeping and FALSE generalizations about this generation. (The nerdy side of me got mad because he thought Toonami still ran every day.) Reading a book has never been such a raging experience. Don't ask me why I'm still reading it if it makes me so mad, I need to vent. XD

I had recently finished Eclipse by Stephenie Meyer (wich I really liked) It took me like forever to finish its 100 last pages but once I did...I wanted more! And right now I'm reading a very cute compilation of love stories. I really like this book because it shows how diferent authors and diferent characters understand love ^^

What is Of mice and Men about? Keeping it REALLY basic, it's about two men in California during the Great Depression looking for opportunity. I haven't read the book in years, but the message of the story is far greater than what I just mentioned. I really enjoyed it.

I'm now reading Luna by Julie Anne Peters. It's a very interesting book about a transsexual boy who goes by "Luna" when he becomes a she. I picked it up by accident and it turned out to be awesome, so I'm going to check out the rest of her books as well once I finish.
