Have you chosen the advanced Freewebs account option?
Because if you haven't, you can't use custom HTML.
Oh, a link to the page would be helpful.

Well, that's because the images are not in the main directory (www.freewebs.com/corelliaucoriestar/) or have different names since there are no "index_0X.jpg" images there!

Well, let's see: You have them images, right? You just have to upload then(freewebs should have an "upload" feature somewhere ) to the main directory(leave blank) using the names the layout requires(which are "index_0[that's a zero]X[with X going from 1 to, uh, dunno 5 or so?].jpg". And remember, capitalization matters(so "Index_01.jpg") And, MAKE SURE, that the zip file you downloaded with the layout has the images inside(I'd check myself, but I'll be damned if I can find that download link!)!

I had the same problem. give up! freewebs isn't the best site for using your own layout. OOh, wait! www.freewebs.com/corelliaucoriestar/index_04.jpg - isn't it supposed to be something like www.freewebs.com/corelliaucoriestar/images/index_04.jpg ? Most of the times the images used on the layouts come in a new folder named "images" - after you unzip them - and you have to create a new folder on your website host and name it "images" - or whatever.

I've had one or two problem with Freewebs, for the most, I find it to be a good site for people who know HTML but are just starting their websites. It's good a "step" to finding a better host.

I had to learn it for my website ^_^' feel free to ask.

I like to host my images on ImageShack. Less people steal images from there, there's no limit as to the number of images you can upload, and it's a fairly reliable service.

yes, but I was thinking that she would need to upload .ZIP / .MP3 / ... files. and honestly, I didn't find a reliable site that hosts such files.
imageshack is quite good. I hate the ads, but as long as they don't pop-up... it's ok.

Breeze, DON'T do the hotlinking you're currently doing, Freewebs is already painfully slow. Take that, add the slowness of freebitty, and you've got a sluged up website! But if you want a host that can do a certain layout, any[well, MOST] free hosts allow you to use your own code! That's why they're called WEB HOSTS! But as I mentioned, what? dozens of times, if you want file hosting [for a small-to-medium website] use FileDen! Oh, and did I mention frebitty is a HostGator reseller and that if you don't mind using one, there are better alternatives?
