I like your idea, I just saw a movie about suffragettes and how they fought for women's rights. It's good but it can always get better...so my comments (and none of them are meant in a rude/mean way): I wasn't able to see all the pics, are they not there or just not working? Also, the black-yellow scheme is a bit...boring...and it makes the whole page look well, it doesn't draw interest (aj, will I get smitten! ;D ) But the content is really good...maybe you should try to broaden it with additional info about suffragettes and the woman's rights movement and that kind of stuff, you know, create a background for the people who made a difference and why were their doings so important. Keep on the good work!

I mean to say I'll get a minus karma point because I criticized your site too much. I mean it as a joke but I guess it sounded funnier in my head. ;D

The text in yellow near the bottom is very difficult to read. You should change it to a much darker colour. I'm not too sure about the main red text (it should be avoided unless you're emphasising something). You could change it to very dark red such as #660000 or even black. It might be also better if you aligned the text to the left rather than the centre. I like the background image though... gives that calm "feminine" feel.
