I'm confused. What is the difference between ".htm" and ".html"?

According to this website I found there doesn't seem to be a difference. Here is the link if it works: rock13.com/webhelp/cool.robIf it doesn't or you need more information I would go to Ask Jeeves and type your question. Someone here might be able to help a little more than me as well. I myself know very little about computers if anything.

HTM is from the days when some programs only allowed three-letter file extension (like JPG, GIF, and others). .HTM and .HTML are really the same thing, but .HTM has become outdated.
