I just read these two books about Japanese people who were "forced" from their homes and had a series of adventures.
Journey to Topaz
It's about a girl named Yuki who is forced from her home in Berkley, Calafornia after the attack on Pearl Harbor in WW2. Her father worked closely with a Japanese country, and was taken away. Then, Yuki and her family went to a camp that was kinda like a concentration camp, but they tried to keep you alive. She met a girl who she became close friends with, who lived with her grandparents. Later, they were taken to Utah to a camp called "Topaz". There, When Yukis friends grandpa was out looking for arrowheads with a good friend of his, he got to close to the gate, and a gaurd thought that he was trying to escape, adn shot him.
I'll post the other one later, cuz it's hard to summerize.
