Is anyone else following the Britney Spears drama like a mad person? She is my secret obsession and I've been following this ALL DAY. community.livejournal.com/ohnotheydidnt/18970623.htmlShe is obviously mentally ill... I hope she gets the help she needs, and I hope all those people who have said such horrible things about her feel really ashamed of themselves. It's terrible to have a mental illness, and especially for it to be so public. I really feel for her

I saw this last night! Isn't that awful news? I really feel bad for her, too...I still love her music, even though a lot of people have forsaken her because of her problems. Hang in there, Britney!!

I think it's more notable that a black man just won an election/caucus in a state that's 97% white, but I guess Britney does impact the nation.
Sorry for my rudeness. I honestly could care less about Britney Spears. I mean, I hope that she gets help for her sake and for that of her children, but there are many more people with problems just bad. People only care about Britney because she has a high profile.

And it also means that I lost my bet...my dad and I are both very political, and he called Huckabee back in OCTOBER. Now I have to take him to dinner at a restaurant of his choosing because I called Romney...

I think it's more notable that a black man just won an election/caucus in a state that's 97% white, but I guess Britney does impact the nation. So make a topic about it! Do people in this country still care about race? I mean, I could care less whether he's black, white, Asian, Arab, green... I'm sure there are lots of other people who feel the same way, so it doesn't surprise me that he won the caucus in Iowa, because hopefully people were voting based on issues rather than race (as it should be). It really pisses me off when people say they will vote for Obama because he's black or Hillary because she's a woman. People should care about ISSUES. Although I think in Obama's case, he gets a lot of votes because of his charisma rather than his issues (he doesn't really talk about hot-button topics a lot) As a side-note, I have seen more racism in Iowa and the midwest than I ever have in the South, and I live in Alabama for crying out loud!Sorry for my rudeness. I honestly could care less about Britney Spears. I mean, I hope that she gets help for her sake and for that of her children, but there are many more people with problems just bad. People only care about Britney because she has a high profile. No one made you come into this one! I mean, if you don't care, why bother posting?

I just wanted to vent a little. People have to keep bringing up Britney whenever she does something and it gets grating after years of dealing with one thing after another.

People have to keep bringing up Britney whenever she does something and it gets grating after years of dealing with one thing after another. Yea, I agree it is really annoying when it is on CNN or Fox or whatever. They should be reporting REAL news, not celeb stuff!!! When I want my celeb fix, I go to sites like x17, ONTD, or TMZ... not CNN. I will get us back on track with Britney pics (this one makes me really, really sad):

I heard something about her mom writing a book about how to me a good mom or something, but after Jamie Lynn got pregnant she pushed her release date back for now? She's going to get a lot of flack if she does release that book. She doesn't have a lot of credit to her name, what with a pregnant 16 year old and a mental case running around. I do feel bad for Britney though. I can't even imagine what it must be like to be her. A lot of people don't realize that she doesn't make any more mistakes than that of a normal person, she just has hers broadcasted on television and magazine covers.

I feel so sorry for Britney. I think that if it wasn't for her mistakes being broadcasted everywhere, she would have been able to take much better care of them. She makes the same mistakes every other new mother has probably made. We don't know everything about caring for a baby. I mean, come on. I just took care of a computerized baby and I didn't know everything I needed to do for it-and I'm in a class with a teacher who's anal about every detail. So why are we coming down so hard on Britney and the mistakes she makes with her kids, hmmm? Oh, I forgot...it's because a majority of the people criticizing her have raised kids before, and weren't dealing with paparazzi on a daily basis.
I think the way people treat Britney is really tasteless. She has talent and a brain stem, she just makes mistakes. And it's no wonder she has problems. She made those mistakes because she was used to being given what she wanted and having the spotlight. And when that light began to fade off her, she wanted it back because whe was used to it. Humans like routine and predictability. We've liked it since the day we were born. And to Britney, the fame she had before her child was born was predictable and routine. So she tried to get it back because she wanted it.
I have a memorial book from when Britney was still releasing her music on tapes (alongside CDs, of course) XD She seems like a really sweet girl in that book, totally different from how she is now.
I do agree that news stations should report real news. There are whole stations and websites dedicated to celebrities; I shouldn't be hearing this on CNN.

I agree so much, Ellethwen! She is in a really sad place. She obviously has a mental illness, but there is no one in her life to tell her what to do, how to take care of herself. Everyone around her is there for fame, publicity, and money... NO ONE cares about Britney, even her own family. The crazier she is, the more money and publicity they all get; they don't give a damn. I think that she sees that, and unfortunately I don't think she'll ever be able to trust anyone because of it. I don't think she's ever known anyone in her entire life that wasn't just there for the money. Even with K-Fed, she deeply loved him and cared about him. She married him for love, and it's obvious that he was nothing but a gold-digger. He wants NOTHING but her money... I really think that he is taking advantage of her mental illness and trying to push her over the edge, hoping for more. Just look at how he is constantly on her case about everything, calling dozens of "emergency sessions" in court. Day after day. It's not surprising that her breakdown came on the day of the deposition which she has been avoiding for months. Then things like not being able to drive with the children because she ran a red light... who hasn't ran a red light?! Who wouldn't run a red light if hundred of paparazzi were crowding your car/threatening you?! I ain't sayin' it was the right thing to do, but if you watch that video, she was obviously trying to escape from them. She was as careful as possible, and it's pretty clear that she just wanted to get away from them. If I felt threatened with my children in the car with me, I can't say I wouldn't freak out and do the same. And the stuff about the valid driver's license - she had a license from Louisiana, not California. It wasn't as if she was driving without a license, and I don't see how that has anything to do with the custody of her children anyway. K-Fed and his team seem to be throwing stupid crap at her constantly just to try to push her harder and harder. She has made the same mistakes everyone has made. She hasn't even done anything terrible to her children! Even the court monitor who was with her said that she did good with the children other than a lot of random clothes-changes... but changing clothes a lot does not make her a bad mother. According to the reports last night, the reason she wasn't wanting to give up the kids to K-Fed's bodyguards (which she pays for, btw) is because Jayden had some mysterious bruises on him. She was screaming that she would rather die than let K-Fed take her babies. That is SAD!!! I feel so bad for her. I wish I could just find her, hug her, and keep her safe.

It's so sad what is happening to her! Her life isn't going to be any easier! And a big mistake marrying Kevin Federline who just wanted money and fame!

I feel bad for Britney and, although as interesting as it may be to see her latest escapade... I would hope that she gets better. Perhaps taking some time off away from the limelight of infamy on some random sparsely populated area will allow her to recuperate. Anyway I do care more about who will be the next president than spoil myself with celebrity gossip .

britney has been foolish after her split from timberlake... she did't handle it well in my view and she latched onto that kevin guy and now another thats no better, she needs to serious get ahold of herself before the media destroys her, not believe the lies out of a guys mouth because she wants to believe them now i just want to add no matter who the paparatzi (sp?) are going after, they are the lowest forms of life... cameras in your face all the time, like perverts using special lenses to take far of pictures just so they can ruin someones life for money - its the type of harrassment that few can stand to high exposure off and the one type of harassment/stalking that is legalised... if that was happening to a normal person someone trailing you all the time you could do something about it but celebs are expected to take it as part of the job, they are't different to anyone else...
oh with regards to her mum, as if!! in what reality can she consider herself a good mother!
