Yeah I've read the Chronicles of Narnia series, I LOVED it. And still do, today I'm going to a friends birthday party and we're seeing Rent, but I'd much rather see Narnia.

I heard the books are really short and they're easy to read. I remember our teacher read us LW&W in 4th grade.

I can't really say whether they are hard to read or not because it really depends on your reading skill but they aren't too long.

I've read the first one (The Magician's Nephew) and obviously The Lion, The Witch, and The Wardrobe. I went by and saw the movie last night, I really liked it, but I hate how whenever people make movies out of books the movie feels all crammed and rushed.

I know what you mean. My mother and sister felt that way after we saw the fourth Harry Potter movie. I heard that the directors do that to save time and sometimes to save money.

One thing I don't get is how can they celebrate Christmas in Narnia when Christ didn't exist in their world. Does C.S. Lewis explain this?

I think christmas in Narnia is just something that indicates that winter is almost over. After all, if I remember right, Santa Clause came because the White Witch's spell was weakening. I'm not entirely sure though. It isn't really specified. The last book may help with a few other things. If you don't know, the last book is appropriately called The Last Battle.

I saw this movie on Saturday. It was awesome despite the fact that I pretty much forgot the storyline.

I think the books are more for kids than the Harry Potter books (can't believe I'm saying that).

I don't entirely believe that because in some parts of the rest of the series there is a deeper symbolism especially in The Last Battle. I really want to tell you more but can't because I don't want to reveal the story for those who haven't read it.
