I finished reading volume 1-6 from sailor stars (thanks Starlightprincess!) and i must say things go pretty fast doesnt it? o.o
and I have a question for those who have read the manga + watched the anime.Which do you prefere?and if you watched anime first:Did you think it went fast?Or did you like it better that way?

I prefer the manga. It`s the original thing and it`s where sailor moon first began. heh. I love originality. :] Also, the anime seemed a bit long with the way they kept adding new youmas, phages, etc. I like the story to go fast and right to the real point rather than go on with different monsters for like.. 30 episodes before the real battle begins.

true,I prefer anime,I loved Seiya/Usagi relationship and the laughs,so it could go on forever for me,but that s just my opinion:)manga really went fast,I mean they revealed their identy faster then you can say 'star seed' and I dont think they hardly ever tried to hide their identities.I find it harder to understand Seiya's feelings towards Usagi in the manga than in the anime.in the manga its like love at first site,no offence,I wished that happened to me in real life, but in the anime its just so sweet to look at how their relationship grow:)

I haven't read the whole manga yet, I've just finished the third volume. But what I can say: yes, the plot is developed so much faster than in the anime, for example, in the manga Uranus and Neptune already had their talismans with them...well, to be exact the plot didn't revolve around finding the talismans at all. And I understood what the Death Busters goal was, it was a bit unclear to me in the anime. I like both anime and the manga, I like how they are different in some aspects - but I must say I like anime JUST A TINY TINY LITTLE BIT more because it introduced me to Sailor Moon. The thing I don't like about the anime is how it takes so long to get to some real action...but I guess that allows more character building.

Honestly, I prefer the anime. The manga is nice and all, but I didn't feel much from reading it. Don't get me wrong, I know it's the original story and it is a good story, but I was able to pick up more on relationships in the anime. Because it was so long, you were able to see the Senshi grow a bit more. I think the anime does a better job on portraying the intensity of some of the relationships. To me, the manga focused more on the fantasy aspect of it all...even in the sad bits...but maybe that's just me... I personally tend to like things that concentrate more on human reactions and I picked up more of that element in the anime.

I prefer the manga version because the anime version of Sailor Moon misses a lot of important things or changes them and I watched the anime version first. I felt that the manga went fast and the anime didn't, what I liked because I thought I got to know the characters more.

Anime forever!!! I agree, the manga went way too fast, and I love how in the anime, although there are so many filler episodes, it never gets boring. It's always hilarious, or there's a new development in a character, or whatever. Everything seems so much more developed in the anime. You can really fall in love with the story and the characters.

I like the anime better. I think that in the manga, the villians die to quickly before we get to know them better.

The anime took out chunks from the manga and added more detail to them, where as the manga kinda had everything in it. Both have limits though. For example, they would have had too many characters in the Stars anime at the one time and it would have confused a lot of people and take a long time to make. However, you have to jump from place to place in manga (since it's not animated) and there's no background music to add emotion.

I prefer the manga - mostly because the thing that got me back into the Sailor Moon fandom was the relationship that the Shitennou have with Endymion, which doesn't exist in the anime. I also don't really like some of the changes they made. For example, they made both Mamo-chan and Rei, two of my favorite characters, less likeable and focused way too much on Chibiusa in SuperS. They made Mamo-chan weaker, too. They didn't focus much on his psychometry and gave the Golden Crystal - which rightfully belongs to Endymion - to Chibiusa instead. I also liked how the Outers were still heavily involved in the series after Super in the manga, whereas in the anime they're minor characters.

That's exactly why I like the manga more too. (Though I couldn't have said so in so many words). I really missed the outers after S season in the anime.

I haven't read all the manga and have only watched 70% of the anime so I don't think I could choose but here's what I think so far:
Manga - very good drawings, original, Mamoru is sexy, all characters were likable, it's different from the anime and has more characters and detail which makes it more interesing. Plus, I love to read
Anime - I hate SuperS, but i like to see moving transformations and not drawn (LOL), it actually made me cry, it's longer than the manga (which is good), it's funnier than the manga, and there's music XD but there's also many bad drawn episodes.
So I really can't choose
