So, who do you guys think is best for Usagi? This debate has been going on FOREVER, so I just decided I'd like to see what you guys think!
I'm personally for Mamoru. I mean, it's destiny! Plus, they just seem to work for each other so well, and their personalities compliment each other. Besides, Seiya is really a girl, and Usagi's not a lesbian o.O

I think Seiya is.Seiya is so true to Usagi and poured his/her feelings to Usagi multiple times.Seiya is very sweet and you can tell that his/her feelings are very great.Even if Seiya is a girl too,if it is love than thats all that matters. After all, look at Haruka and Michiru.

Yea, but look at how Mamoru showed his love for Usagi! Plus, yes, love is all that mattes. But the fact of the matter is that you can't help who you're attracted to. If you like men, you just like men. If you like women, you just like women. And if you are bi, then you like both! But any way you put it, your sexual orientation is a BIG deal when it comes to your perfect partner. And there is no indication that Usagi likes women, although we know she's boy crazy!! Haruka and Michiru are deeply in love, of course, and that's one of the best relationships in Sailor Moon. But they're both lesbians anyway! So think of it this way; if there was a guy with whom you were in love, and then you all of a sudden found out he was a GIRL, how would you feel? Would you still be with that person? Or, do you think you could you fall in love with a girl? Your sexual orientation has a LOT to do with whoever you choose to be with.

That's true. But if you truly loved him/her, then I don't think you would care about his/her gender. So, if Usagi truly loved Seiya, then it wouldn't matter if she had been attracted to women before. Usagi isn't a person so concerned with the outside appearance. Squash me down if you think I'm wrong. Anyway, I'm a Mamoru supporter, I just wanted to say that. I think that Seiya's love for Usagi is sweet, but not returned (I know there's a bigger word for that, I just can't spell it ). And, yes, Mamoru and Usagi were destined to be together, like Betty Ann said. The stars have had their say.

And, yes, Mamoru and Usagi were destined to be together, like Betty Ann said. The stars have had their say. I think the word you're looking for is "unrequited." Despite what most people claim, our feelings for people are significantly affected by whether or not we find that person attractive. Our brains have evolved that way, and this is something that goes on even in the animal kingdom - that's why peacocks have those showy feathers, to attract a good mate. We are attracted to a person initially, and that's how we decide to form a stronger relationship. Looks, a sense of humor, gender - those are things that we all look for when deciding if a person is attractive. That doesn't necessarily mean attractive in a physical sense, but also attractive in the sense of other qualities (like intelligence, sanity, humor, etc.). If you don't find a person attractive for whatever reason, you can't fall in love with that person. How many people who would tell you how hideously ugly his/her significant other is? Or how boring he is? Or how stupid he is? Even if they are ugly, boring, or stupid, that person must find something attractive in that person. For example, my boyfriend is not ugly. Some people might think he is. Some might think he's boring. But I think he's sexy and exciting! The same goes for everyone: would you want to spend the rest of your life with someone you felt to be unattractive? So Usagi is attracted to some qualities in Seiya. Does that mean she'll immediately fall for him? There are some overriding qualities, such as the fact that Seiya is, in fact, female, and Usagi is NOT attracted to women. In conclusion, it doesn't matter who you're in love with at all, but that can only be said in a broad sense, pertaining to the overall grand scheme of the world; all people. For you personally, it does matter. If you're a lesbian through-and-through, you're simply not going to be attracted to men, and will therefore not have relationships with men. The same goes for gay men, and straight men and women; you date the gender to which you attracted. The exception here is bisexuality, of course, and there is absolutely no indication that Usagi is bisexual.

Gender aside, I have to say, Mamoru all the way! His and Usagi's relationship is classic. They complement each other so well. Mamoru can handle all of Usagi's moods.. Seiya may seem good for Usagi because he was there when she needed someone, but I don't get the feeling that a relationship between them would last. I don't feel like Seiya would handle Usagi's emotions as well as Mamoru..
I've just always been a fan of the Usagi+Mamoru relationship. I can't see Usagi with anyone else. Miss Takeuchi created Mamoru to be the perfect man for her, and thats how I think it should be. ^_^

No I would not be able to fall in love with a girl.If my boyfriend was once a girl than I would be just simply shocked.I couldn't stop loving him though.Yes Seiya is a girl but the love is still there. As being a female Seiya would maybe understand some of the things that Usagi is going through. As for destiny,it's not set in stone.Things can change in less than a minute. The person that you think is perfect may be the wrong person for you.Demo..Naoko-sama did create Mamoru for Usagi..But also,I don't think that Seiya would have just left Usagi to go to America, even though Usagi wanted the best for him.No doubt Mamoru wouldn't have put his life on the line for Usagi.I use to support Mamoru and Usagi.I thought they were one of the best couples in SM (they still are) but my opinion has changed.

But Mamoru has put his life on the line for Usagi. Several times. The two occasions that come to me first are 1.) In the first season when one of the four generals (I think it was Kunzite...) is about to attack Usagi, and Mamoru dives in front and gets hit instead; and 2.) In the R movie when Fiore is about to kill Usagi. It seems someone's always throwing themselves in front of Usagi for some reason.

Pardon me but i really go for usagi and mamo-chan. I do agree that mamo-chan has put his life for usagi, as seyia did. But they're destined to be together and they are a really romantic couple.

You could possibly take a pyschological view to this whole debate. Sometimes the best approach to a debate like this is from an insider's point of view. If Naoko Takeuschi wanted Usagi and Seiya to be together, she would have had them be together at the end of the Stars Manga. But, she didn't, thusly showing that Usagi and Mamoru where to be together. True, true. I like M/U better. They're a lot more realistic! Seiya and Usagi are almost too suited for each other. On the other hand, Mamoru somtimes scolds Usagi for her test grades, etc. Their relationship is so REAL.

I am definetly on Seiya's side. I am partial to him/her being with Usagi because I'm a big fan of the character and have never been able to warm up to Mamoru. I think he acts too distant, whereas Seiya is so much more emotional in comparison. I always felt Usagi deserved someone who could be like that. I know Mamoru is deeply devoted to her but it's as though he only shows this in dire situations. Seiya was consistantly showing he cared.
Ah, I don't know really. I just like Seiya overall and so have to choose him over Mamoru.

I think Mamoru and Usagi are perfect for each other. Seiya is almost too much like Usagi They say opposites attract. All the things that people have been saying Seiya has done for Usagi (sacrificed for her poured his feelings out) Mamoru has done too. Not saying you don't have a legitimate argument, but if that is your only argument, kinda pointless. Also, I think Seiya would have gone to America too, but that's just me ^.^ Besides, I think if Usagi asked Mamoru to stay I think he would have.

I agree. I think Usagi needs Mamoru's solid down-to-earthness to balance her out.
You should absolutely write a fan fiction about that!

I haven't seen the Stars episodes yet but either way I would have to say Mamoru. Whenever I watched the show I have always thought the two clicked together. Sometimes they didn't get along but it alsways seemed that they both loved each other for who they are no matter what. Besides they both have been through so much together. From Mamoru joining the other side in the present to Usagi being trapped in a crystal in the future. Their love for each other have litteraly stood the test of time and I believe it will continue to do so for centuries more.
