Discuss how you were introduced to Sailor Moon! Here's my story: I was into anime, and my boyfiend saw some anime dolls at the dollar store in town. I went to check them out, and they were Sailor Moon dolls! I looked up Sailor Moon online, and instantly fell in love - the rest is history

I think I first saw an episode of Sailor Moon on Cartoon Network when I was around fourteen. It was summer and I was flipping channels. It caught my eye and I started watching it. After it was over, I looked on the menu to see what it was and found out it was Sailor Moon. So I started watching it and found it interesting. When school started I taped it since it started when I got out of school. I watched it up until Super S.
I've seen episodes of Stars (sub-titled) though it was quite awhile ago so I don't remember it very well. I would love to see the live action version and the entire anime sub-titled (rather than the dub, which isn't half bad considering they thought it was for children). I know a little about the manga and love the art I've seen from it but haven't read it mostly because there isn't anywhere I could purchase it (except online) and I've found that I've changed my view slightly.
I started out with my favorite sailor senshi being Sailor Moon and a big fan of Mamoru/Usagi. Now, I find Sailor Moon just slightly annoying (Chibi Moon much more annoying) and that I don't really think Usagi is suitable for Mamoru. That sounds so wrong but I've made up my own character, oddly enough a twin for Usagi, that I've paired with Mamoru in my head.

One day, I was watching TV, and I saw a commercial for the dolls. The commercial showed clips from the show (specifically, the Senshi's attacks), and I remember myself saying how cool "the green one" looked with her thunder attack.
My brother took notice that I wanted to see this show. One day, while he was watching WB, he woke me up at around 6:30 AM to tell me that Sailor Moon was on. I watched it, and I liked it, but I was disappointed that Jupiter wasn't on the episode (it was one of the first season episodes when only Usagi, Ami, and Rei were Senshi).
After that, my brother went to Toys R Us one day to buy something and he bought a Sailor Moon video with Jupiter on the cover. I watched it, and fell in love.
Woah, that was about 9 1/2 years ago. Time flies by, man.

oh, where are you from? The Japanese original is GREAT - better than the North American version, in my opinion. The characters seem like they have more depth, and are more realistic! It's good even when you know all the teeny tiny details And the live action one is FULL of twists! I grew up watching it actually. ^.^ I saw ti when it first came ot the U.S. and fell in love instantly. I was addicted to all of it. Now I want to see the Japanese version and all of it (Even if I know what happens) and I want to see the live action one. ^.^

aww, your brother is so sweet!! My brother would never do something like that. I always liked Sailor Moon from the beginning - I think it was the pigtails... and I also liked her Moon Tiara Action attack a LOT!!! My second favorite was Mercury - her bubbles attacks are awesome My first episode was "Nightmare in Dreamland;" that's such a cute episode! If it wasn't that, then it was definitely an episode with Nephrite.

I live in Iowa. Sailor Moon is not something I see a lot in stores. I have never seen Sailor Moon at the Barnes and Nobles closest to where I live, but I know they have it on their site and amazon.com. Sadly, Dad dislikes internet buying and I really don't have much to spend on it.

My boyfriend's family is from Iowa!! He's going up there for Christmas.. I was going to go, too, but my mom wants me to go to her house. Blah! Why does your dad dislike internet buying? I LOVE IT! And usually it's pretty secure I live in Iowa. Sailor Moon is not something I see a lot in stores. I have never seen Sailor Moon at the Barnes and Nobles closest to where I live, but I know they have it on their site and amazon.com.
