Ah yeah I hate awkward silence, like you don't know what to say next.

I just say, "So how's the weather?" in situations like that which makes me sound like a total weirdo.

Haha, I just say "Well, this is awkward" during and awkward silence.

I'm so blunt when it comes to awkward stuff :-P

That works . Ah I remember one time I said "So how's the weather?" to this girl who was a year younger than me and she freaked out, and she never answered my question!!
