www.blogthings.com/wherefrom.htmlTHIS IS THE BEST SITE EVER! If you're from the US, pick a state/city you're from. It gives you a list of rreally steryotypical phrases/actions from your city/state. Im from Chicago...AND THEY'RE ALL TRUE! (i.e. Referring to Lake Michigan as 'the lake' and Chicago as 'the city'). Also, they have lists for different ethniticities and religions...check it out! I was laughing so hard I practically cried!

Is this not normal behaviour? lol, I actually know people who have done that. There's a book out about crazy Alabama football fans right now called Rammer Jammer Yellow Hammer (that's a University of Alabama cheer). yay for Alabama football!

I know! Sometimes you don't even realize it 'cause you're just SO USED TO IT!
When I first saw that, I was thinking, "Wait...that's not normal?!?"
Yeah, don't do that in front of a Chicagoan. I don't know about everyone else, but I HATE when people say "Ill-uh-noise". Grrr.

Illinois is not pronounced Illinoi? LOL I seriously did not know that. *feels stupid* Oh, it is, but some people pronounce the 's' at the end...and you're not supposed too. At least, that's what people around here think. No problem.

Here are the Masscahusetts one I most relate to: - I say bubbler instead of water fountain.
- I have had school classes were canceled because of frozen and burst pipes.
- I know how to say Shrewsbury (shoes-bree), Worcester (Wusta), Marlborough (Marl-Bro), Leicester (lester), Leomenster (lemon-ster).
- I think 70 degrees is hot and a perfectly fine time to go to the beach or pool.
- "Wicked good" makes sense to me (dude, today I heard an advertisement that said that something was "wickedly good" Who tries to grammatically correct slang??! Geeeese...)
- I actually enjoy driving around rotaries. (sometimes XD)
- I have driven to New Hampshire on a Sunday in order to get beer. OMG THANK GOD FOR NH!
- I know that there are two Bulger brothers, and that they're both crooks.
- I know what they sell at a packie.
- I can actually find your way around Boston.
- I think the rest of the country owes you for Thanksgiving and Independence Day. (sure, why not)
- I have never been to Cheers.
- I knew that there was no chance in hell that the Pats would move to Hartford.
- I have gone to at least one party at UMass. (haha yeah I got to UMass)
- I know how to make a frappe.
- I actually know how to merge from 6 lanes of traffic down to one. (pretty common @_@)
- I went to Old Sturbridge Village, Plymouth Plantation, or both, on field trip in grammar school.
- I can drive to the mountains and the ocean all in one day.
- I know that the Mass Pike is some sort of strange weather dividing line.
- I do not recognize the letter "R" as a part of the English language. (not too often ^_^)
- I've slammed on your brakes to deter a tailgater (yesterday)
- Paranoia sets in if I can't see a Dunkin Donuts, ATM or CVS within eyeshot at all times. (HAHA maybe...)
- You keep an ice scraper and can of de-icer on the floor of your car...year round (hell yes)
- I order iced coffee in January
- I know what candlepin bowling is (you don't??)
- I will drive 45 minutes to New Hampshire to save $5 in sales tax (eh its only about 20 min from my house but yeah I do it!)
- I've pulled out of a side street and used your car to block oncoming traffic so you can make a left. (every time I turn onto Bridge St or Lakeview Ave)
- I know what a "regular" coffee is (I did work at Dunkins for 4 years @_@)
Hehe that was fun! There were lots of things about the Red Sox that I just didn't care about because I don't like baseball.

well this has inspired me for you all to hear some of my slang from scotland 1. nigeled = is like being left by yourself so you would say " owa ! ah huv been nigled !! " 2. get = this is just what you say for a french kiss " yeh anno ah got him last night " 3. healfi = this is healthy but just said in a scottish accent but it means hot or good looking " aww hes pure healfi ! " 4. rank = disgusting "eew thats rank ! " 5 . roached whoch is just the same as rank there is so many more but there is just a few and ell there was this film made in scotland about neds ( bams , um just people that fight alot , are bad ) and well and even though they were speaking english but the way they spoke it and some of the words they said they needed to put subtitles for people who saw it in england who couldnt understand what they were saying
