*rolls eyes* no maybe it's just cuz I don't want to wait around for episodes to load and buffer in the middle and I just want to save them to my computer and watch them whenever I want instead of having to wait for it to load every time I want to watch the same episode bite me

So, uh, Larry, if one hypothetically wanted to do this how would they *ahem* hypothetically go about it?

There's plenty of ways, in plenty of manners, you could do this with standalone aps(like those things that save your video from YouTube, and convert them, all without a browser), or there are browser extensions(yes, even for IE... not that I've ever used them) For firefox, you can choose from the boatloads of download manager addons. Although, I prefer the good old fashioned way, of looking in the page source and grabbing the file straight from the url.

I thought 'grabbing streaming media' was illegal, hun technically so is downloading copyright material, but yeah, most of the time people put up streaming media because they don't WANT people to download it, and I can't imagine taking it in that manner would be good for bandwidth

*insert ASCII'd Picard facepalm here*
Fun fact, hun: the moment you view/listen to streaming media... you are... DOWNLOADING IT! *le gasp*
So saying that's illegal's nonsense, if you don't want people to download stuff, keep it off the internetz.
And, TBH, downloading media is less of a bandwidth hog than streaming it. Because if you repeatedly view the same streaming file on a website, you repeatedly download it, as opposed to downloading it once, and saving it to your HDD, CD/DVD or whatever, and view it as many times as you please.

*rolls eyes* I'm not a complete moron, I know plenty about computers and I know that it's temporarily 'downloaded' I just meant if everyone was to go onto a site with streaming media and all go and download it instead of watching it, you'd think it would be bad for bandwidth. Anyway that wasn't my original point in the first place, which was why the hell would I want streaming episodes when they're already available for download? You know just because people don't want to watch the streaming media doesn't mean they don't know how to download it, maybe they just don't want to go through the hassle of the different ways to do it, especially considering a lot of sites like Youtube that have streaming media are of a lot worse quality than those you could find from straight downloading. I guess I'm just saying if someone wants to do something that isn't the way you want to do it, quit assuming it's because they're not as 'smart' as you and insulting them Larry

I fail to see how a semi-decent explanation regarding streaming media and/or grabbing it can be considered insulting anybody...

That's cuz you people don't know how to grab steaming media! I was referring to that and saying just because we liked the downloads and didn't want the streaming media she was thinking about putting up, didn't mean we 'don't know how' and that's a bit of a rude assumption don't you think?

No offense, but I added a " " at the end of it. That's supposed to lighten my comment so that it would be less rude and more amusing. As it was intended in the first place!

Yup, I never post stuff on the internet without being fully aware of what I'm posting. And usually not without being right! But mehthinks this is not the place to discuss my unusual manner of posting, is it now?
