I am not sure if Voltron is anime, I saw it when I was like 7, I have one tape at home, I think it is, because it's made in anime like style. Can someone tell if it is anime or not?

I remember that show! I was like 5 when I used to watch it with my brothers. I don't remember the plot of the show at all! I only remember there was a robot machine of some kind. I think it is an anime, but I'm not sure.

I know a lot about it, almost as much as I know about Sailor Moon. I was really into it when I was little, I used to end everything I was doing just to watch it. I even asked my dad to build me one of those lions - there were 5 lion robots who, when joined together, formed Voltron. And the funny, but also kind of a sad thing is that I wanted my dad to build me a robot lion because war in my country was starting then and I wanted to stop it using the robot. It's really an idea only a child could have.

Voltron in a way is anime.
Voltron was originally created in Japan as Hyakujuu-Ou Go-Lion (Hundred-Beast King Go Lion) by TOEI animation (same company that brought us the animated Sailor Moon).
The show was brought over to North America and other countries as Voltron with much of the original show edited out or changed for non-Japanese audiences. Rumors say that the second season was created only for non-Japanese audiences after the show became a huge success in North America.

What? There is a second season as well? I do not know if I have seen it, do you know what it is about? I remember the good guys won but I dunno if there was something after that. I think I saw the NA version since that Lance guy didn't die; I read somewhere that the Japanese version is much more...hum, violent.

"A second series featured an all-new Voltron, this one composed of fifteen space exploration vehicles fighting the alien Drules. Titled Voltron: Defender of the Near Universe, the new show never gained the popularity of the "Lion Force," fading into relative obscurity over the years. In 1998, the original five-lion Voltron returned for the computer-animated Voltron in the Third Dimension."
