... what a horribly selfish BRAT! There is totally a distinct personality difference between her and Usagi. I like how they did that, but I still really, really, REALLY dislike Princess Sailor Moon. I just wanted to reach through the screen and smack her everytime I saw her! Her fuku is gorgeous though..

Poor Princess sailor Moon. She's evil, but I can understand her: she went insane after the death of Prince Endymion, she was shocked and desperate.
I don't justify her, but she's more pitiful than hatable.

I understand your point. I guess maybe it just drives me nuts because it's the complete opposite of what Usagi would do.

the princess was't evil, its the extreme case of sorrow, such emotions are hard to deal with - I know personally, i was in a really dark place early 2006... a simple thing such as to wish everything gone is not hard in that state... or to think worse things, the pgsm version does't give the feeling that the princess had the life shown in the anime - so she pretty much just had endynimon... compare that to usagi who has family, friends, a belonging with the scouts, she's had a much different life.
yes her actions are selfish, but how many emotions are't?

I understand the emotion thing, Amy-chan.. but I personally don't think I would be able to do what she did just because I lost the love of my life. It just doesn't compute in my mind how it would make everything justified. I guess maybe that's why I just cannot connect with PSM.

everyone reacts differently though, some get angry at the slightess thing, others don't, some say or do things they regret when angry others don't... it just comes down to how you deal with your emotions... or don't i don't personally deal well with negative emotions, but then i have't lashed out at anyone either, if your world was being destoyed, your lover killed its hard to say what'd you'd wish... and basically the princess ghost carried those feelings on when she takes over... *shrugs*

Yeah, that's true. But I still don't like her. Hehe.

It was kind of surprising at first. I mean, we weren't used to that kind of Princess Serenity and PGSM in general made a lot of people (me included at first) go "lol wut?"
It was an interesting take on the character and series, though. I enjoyed it after I got over the initial confusion.

LOL i agree with Tsukino on the shock thing. But, I really like how PGSM did a whole different take on Serenity that was totally different from anything the metaverse has. You really see that Serenity and Usagi are two different beings that happen to share the same soul and body. The same person but with drastic outcome differences because of lifestyle and fate. I never had the feeling that Usagi and Serenity existed as two whole parts that have separate consciousness before PGSM, and I like the take on it, and how Usagi can converse with her other self in her inner world.

I second with bleueyedbrunette. Also if they'd had done everything in PGSM from the anime and/or manga verbatum it would have been extremly predictable and boring for fans of SM to watch. I also like how PGSM takes a diffrent approach to many characters in the SM cannon; such as Ami, Minako, the Shitennou and Queen Beryl. It causes you to think more in depth about the characters and gives you a more complete view of them or at least a diffrent one.

Princess Sailor Moon to me was a confusing character when I first saw her. She risked everything to save her lover destroying anything in her way, yet she was kind enough to heal everyone affected by Materia's Youma. Which really doesn't make sense to me. She would end up destroying everything in her path but then just go back to healing everything, then in the end she just destroyed everything. I think healing a world she does not care about would be the last thing she would do. The only explanation was that Usagi's feelings overwhemled her and Usagi was in control for that time.
I liked her they used her in a Super Sailor Moon fashion. I think one of the reasons was that they were not going to be able to put Super Sailor Moon in and they probably had some great ideas they had for her.

I agree with both blueeyedbrunette and primasylph. It's interesting how they changed is so much so that it was surprising. Many people would have seen the anime and read the manga before this came out, so they would have figured everything out and it wouldn't have been worth watching. The fact that they added more "omg" moments was to give it a new feel and better viewing.

She really annoyed me... I just hated the way she said "Endymion".
