Spoiler alert people... Anyway, I kind of think that they should have kept Minako dead. Now don't lynch me yet, lol. I just feel that the effect of her death would have been a lot more powerful and moving if she hadn't gotten revived later on, and in general would have made the whole episode where she dies (and Rei's breakdown afterwards) really stick with a person long after the show ended. I love Minako as much as all of the others, maybe even a bit more in this incarnation because of all the anguish she has to go through, what with her sickness and her feelings about joining the others and their capabilities in general. I think she's a lot more mature in PGSM and I'm drawn to her personality. But, I also think that if she had not come back to life, she would have grown on me even more as a character in this specific case. Or maybe I just have a thing for martyrdom?

Or maybe it's because Usagi's crystal made everything be reborn and so we had no choice?
If we mash in the anime it would be because time turned back to before she died. Remember, she was recording C'est la Vie...again...

i have no issues with it, the senshi are destine to be reborn over and over as the moonlight densetsu song says, usagi wished for the world back after serenity destroyed it, so naturally minako would be back being her friend, protector and idol - i mean did it subtract anything in the anime being that all the scouts died and mamoru but came back in the last bit? i don't see it did.

Nah, I agree with amy-chan on this. Princess Serenity asked that the world be reborn again, and sacrificed her own life to do so. Yes, naturally Minako would've come back as well - I think it was sort of like the world had gone back in time to a point showing us what the world would've been like if Usagi hadn't been born.
Yet, what I wanna know is: They re-lived their lives all over again, so what did it feel like to suddenly just REMEMBER someone who--technically-sort-of speaking--you've never met? Were their lives from then the same as if Usagi had just appeared from nowhere, or was history sort of stopped and re-written, as though Usagi had kind of disappeared on a trip somewhere? And what about Ami-chan being friends with Naru-chan? Did she just kind of dump Naru-chan after that, or was it back to the point where Naru-chan was still sort of friends with Usagi-chan but not as close as the other senshi? I guess these are things my curious heart will just never know...

using another anime as reference, i'd say it was't that they relived their lives just there was a blank spot where usagi had been because no one remembered her at first, like amnesia because she did't exist on the newly recreated world, but once she was remembered it drew her back into the world. Mamoru too with help from the painting that somehow was saved

Yea I forgot about the whole "destined to be reborn" thing. LOL. I guess I'd say putting logic aside, it would have had a bigger impact on me if she didn't come back. But it would only make sense if Usagi couldn't revive everyone in that universe for some reason. Otherwise it would seem rather strange for her to not revive venus.
