I LOVE the "Eternal" uniforms of the senshi. When I first saw a coloured picture of them I was like: "WOW!!!" They are so bright and the layered skirtes are very pretty. I also like the sleeves...don't have a problem with them. They just look right on these outfits. And on the pictures where the senshi are wearing the uniforms, it's seems - at least to me - that they can move there arms pretty freely (just look at the different poses they strick). The sleeves seem to be no hindrance! The reason why I like the "Eternal" uniforms is simply because they are something completely different. I mean, Sailor Moon has soooo many different costumes (and I LOVE them, don't get me wrong!), but they others don't. With new uniforms there always comes new power too, so now they are even stronger than before. But of course I like the "old" uniforms too! Especially Saturn's!!!

I kinda like the fact that they're all semi-matching but i still don't get the yellow, red and blue skirt and the pink really throws it off balance. I loved the Crisis uniform with the long flowing bow the rainbow ish skirt and the sleeves now if only we could of kept that added her angel wings and the high top gloves it wouldn't really be a bad site. I just don't like her in that outfit

Interesting. Yeah, I liked Sailor Moon's Grail uniform the best with the transparent sleeves and flowing back bow. But still, Takeuchi-sama wanted them to look more and more similar as the story progressed. They're the most unique in the early versions, but they gain the same choker, brooch, sleeves, glove length, and collar properties when they all power-up to Super. When turning Eternal, there is pretty much NOTHING but the colors and hair that are different. But I think that kind of progression is good. It emphasizes that they are the most special Sailor Soldiers in the galaxy. Sailor Moon is basically the star of the Milky Way, and they were THE special Soldiers assigned to protect her. Very different from all the other Soldiers in the galaxy who haven't been known to power-up or gain many different accessories, etc. for their uniforms. Even though the Starlights were assigned a princess to protect, they still can't compare to the other Sailor Soldiers.

The similarities grow in the fuku as the soldiers progress into a stronger, and a more unified team. They're not all over the place anymore and against each other (i.e. Uranus and Neptune). They are one. I like that Naoko drew them wearing all the same outfits, just in their own colors, because of this simple fact. I also like the round sleeves. I like everything about the final uniforms. It shows elegance and beauty to me. The only thing I'm not so keen on is Sailor Moon's skirt color choices, but I still like her uniform. As for the anime depictions of the uniforms, BLEH. I dislike the way the skirt doesn't really look like a school girl skirt anymore. It's just not attractive.

Well, I guess any Sailor Soldier's outfit wasn't supposed to be that similar to a civilian's uniform. But I do see your point.

Yeah, I sort of think the final uniforms looked odd... like I was so used to only seeing Eternal Sailor Moon with those round sleeve-things (in the anime). Plus, the stars on their chest (with ribbon), looks kinda strange... but that's just me. xD

How could I have missed the chance to rant about this earlier? I actually can't stand the ultimate forms of the Sol Senshi. Those fuku are much too gaudy with all those random stars and ribbons all over, and I hate the way they lost their individual gloves, footwear, and jewellery. Also, those puffy sleeves are the worst idea ever in the history of Sailor fuku. They don't even look like puffy sleeves do in real life-- they're like perfectly round, with no gathers or anything! It's hideous. The only thing I do like about those fuku is the fact they have double-layered skirts. . . which if I wanna see that, I can just watch Sera-myu, where they do it better, anyway. . . so yeah.
