Ok this is probably a weird question by why did Sailor Jupiter get two attacks when she first became and senshi while Mars and Mercury only got one.

How do you mean? All I know is that Jupiter got Supreme Thunder, Mars got Fire Soul and Mercury gor Bubble Spray

It is different in the manga. Mars actully only uses "Evil Spirits,Begone!",Mercury uses Bubble Spray but a different name and Jupiter got Supreme Thunder and Flower Hurricane.

Maybe when they first turned into the senshi they all had more attacks at their disposal but only Jupiter used more than one?

Maybe it reflects how Sailor Jupiter is supposed to be the strongest. I've no idea.
*sigh* Everything was so much more clear-cut in the aime.

Well, not all of their powers/assets consisted of magical attacksif you reall... remember Mercury does a lot of notorious things in the first saga? Like that time when she created a Hyper-space shield to protect the Crown Arcade so that the other senshi's combat with evil Tuxedo and Beryl wouldn't destroy it... she also has her super computer which played a major role in locating her missing friends and the enemies in the Dark Kingdom arc ... Mars on her own part has her "evil spirit be gone!" ofuda/charms and her psychic powers of prediction and detecting evil presences... Venus has the sword made of Silver Crystal... I suppose it made sense to give Jupiter two attacks so she wouldn't be the odd one out, otherwise what else could Naoko have had her do? Throw home-cooked food at the enemies? Use her strength against them (when they could just stop her midway with a blast of power, I somehow doubt it)?

Sailor Moon - Moon Tiara Action, Moon Healing Escalation, unnamed attack where she throws her hairclips as darts at the enemy, unnamed supersonic attack
Sailor Venus - Crescent Beam, unnamed chain attack, unnamed sword attack
Sailor Mars - Evil Spirits Disperse, Fire Soul
Sailor Mercury - Mercury Aqua Mist, Sabao Spray, Hyperspace Area Formation
Sailor Jupiter - Flower Hurricane, Jupiter Thunderbolt

Moon-Moon Frisbee,Moon Healing Escalation,throwing hair darts,supersonic crying Mercury-Unnamed mist attack,Super Dimensional Space Disturbence Mars-Evil spirits,Begone Jupiter-Supreme Thunder,Flower Hurricane Venus-Venus Love-Me Chain,Rolling heart Vibration the sword that she used didn't have an attack. She just used it to stab Beryl. She did get Venus Wink Chain Sword whatever that does. |

if you were correct, then the question would not be why does Sailor Jupiter have 2 aattacks but why does Sailor mars only have 1.
