Hey guys, first post here, but I've been looking around for a little while (I love the screencaps section btw). I was wondering, when did you get into SM? For me, it had to have been 1995 or close to that. I remember I was flipping through the channels and I found this show with a really cool design (the anime style, I didn't know what it was at the time). I'm also 99% sure it's ep 10, where these three random girls are praying in front of the shrine (it's on the first cap page for ep 10, a little more than half way down the page). Wah, it's depressing to think that was 12 years ago. I'm so friggin OLD now lol. (23 to be exact) The first time I was exposed to the original was at a comic convention, and I saw the beginning of ep 167. I heard Usagi say "Nice weather" and the first thing that came out of my mouth was "Her voice is SO high... wow". lol. I ended up buying the entire Stars season on fandub for 100 bucks on vcr. x_____x I ended up getting the entire series minus the first two seasons on vcr eventually. LOL all that money... And of course now we have dvd releases. I bought the adv release of the first two, but I'm broke so I haven't gotten dvds of the other seasons yet. Okay, so I ended up rambling. lol. One other quick thing, what got you guys into being a SM fan? For me, I think it was because it was tied into my childhood, so it became a big part of my memories of that time of my life. Also, it was the first anime series I ever saw, so it will always hold a special place in my heart. Oh, so cheesy. lol.

Oh, it was about 1996 when I first saw Sailor moon! I can't evene remember what I used to do when I wasn't aware of what she was. Do you know what I mean? I don't remember the very first time, nor how I got involved, just the year. Before Sailor moon, there's nothing in my mind!!XDD

Usually I have a horrible memory, but I often remember random scenes or bits very clearly. It's very odd. For some reason that scene with SM stuck into my brain for the next 12 years. I have no clue why. XD I also remember wistfully fantasizing that I was one year younger than them, (at the time), so I still had a year left for something "magical" to happen to me... Haha I was such a dorky kid. Well still am to this day man.

Ahah, I even filled with spooky fan arts (and invented stories with the SM characters) an entire agenda!! And now I don't even know how to put the drawings together...once they had a meaning, I know!XDD

I really don't remember how old I was when I first saw Sailor Moon. Was I seven? No matter, it was still my first anime so I still cherish it. I would be so excited coming home from school to watch Sailor Moon on Cartoon Network XD

I think when it first came out in America. I'd come home from school and plop myself down in front of the TV to watch it. I was so sad when it went off the air. *tear*

LOL i look back on them now and cringe at how small I drew the hands. XD. I remember I nearly died when I got a copy of photoshop 6... FINALLY. And then I had no clue how to use it then. lol. I have so many "floating head" fanarts too... where I would start drawing a head and then lose interest or get distracted and not finish... so funny to look at now. lol I look at a lot of them and don't even remember drawing them. --;

I would be so excited coming home from school to watch Sailor Moon on Cartoon Network XD I had to have been 11... based on when it first came out in the USA... I think... I stink at math. Oh man... Toonami!! That brings back memories... Wah.... how did all that time pass so quickly??? Remember the "lost episodes" thing Toonami ran?? LOL that was before I had seen the original R ending so they WERE all new to me. I was so freaking excited... it was like all I thought about while they were airing and while they were previewed. Once we had a really bad snow storm and it took like an hour and a half to get home from school (i went to a little dinky private school that was like 30 mins away anyway AND I got out at 3:15... and SM started at 4PM I believe). So I missed that ep and was sooooooo angry. lol. I caught it on some other run though. I find it funny that they called them the "lost" episodes. More like "cheepo DIC didn't see the money in translating the rest of the season" episodes. I was so angry when I found out they stopped the first time and a cliff hanger. Stupid DIC. I think when it first came out in America. I'd come home from school and plop myself down in front of the TV to watch it. I was so sad when it went off the air. *tear* Same. lol. It had several runs on diff stations though. Like, it was on USA for a while, then UPN, then CN... lol I remember for a while getting up at 7AM during the summer to catch it running early on UPN or something. The only reason I would have gotten up before noon. haha.

I watched on YTV at like age five religously. I rember the year I started watching it I got all the VHS , dolls , moon cycle, etc. for christmas, I would take my sailor moon doll and pretend that it was the real sailor moon that queen beryl had shrunk her and I was tuxedo mask coming to the rescue, heh. I forgot about it when I was five and then I found the old tapes when I was elven and my love for the show was back, than I started going on websites, I found out it was actualy from japan, watched my first japanese episode ( If I live to be a hundred I will still rember that moment) and here I am now. Oh and welcome to the fourm, where gonna love having you here I can tell!

Oh and welcome to the fourm, where gonna love having you here I can tell! That's awesome! XD I didn't have any of the dolls when it first came out... but i always was a cheepo, even as a kid. lol. I had like every episode tapped on vhs though... tis fun to watch just to see the ancient commercials. I used to play-act with the neighborhood kids though (and they were younger than me so I could boss them around lol). We used to sing the english theme... so dorky. Later I went and bought nearly all of the Irwin Canadian dolls... the ones with like no noses. -_- i was just so happy to have dolls of them. Of course later they come out with better models... typical. I also bought all the Irwin plushies... my gosh, I want to make my own plush so badly. I think I'm gonna be posting a lot here. It's so nice to see the SM fandom is still alive even after so many years. I'm kind of bummed that I missed the big rush back in the 90's, but my house was slow to get the internet. lol. Pretty young, because I still ate from ice cream trucks (that's how I found out about Sailor Moon...I saw her picture on the side of an ice cream truck!) Oh man, I don't think I ever saw her on public uh... objects or whatever. lol. I think I would have flipped if I had, and tried to buy whatever it was if it were possible. Ebay... I can't go near that website. So much wonderful random SM related crap, (okay even if a lot of it is bootleg.. haha).

I can't remember... I think it must've watched when it first aired in the morning on Cheez TV, because I remember a couple months later getting up at 6a.m. to watch it because of the failing ratings. I might've been... 7, perhaps? 8? And then when it went off the air, I completely forgot, until in December 2005 when I went to an op shop and saw about a hundred Sailor Moon videos there (copies of the first nine, except voume seven), so I remembered it, thought, 'Oh yeah, that's right, I used to like this!', bought them, watched them, and... fell in love again.
Shortly after that I discovered The Oracle (which I was always talking to my cousin about: "Oh, you know The Oracle has tonnes of manga pictures" "The Oracle has episodes in the original Japanese version that you can download!" "The Oracle tells you about all these bits that were cut out!" The Oracle this! The Oracle that! It was practically my shrine), and I made myself a heap of terrible wallpapers on Paint, discovered colour manga images (swoon), and then... nine months ago, I joined here! (Because I'd explored almost everybit of The Oracle except the forum button, which I always ignored)
And the rest is history!

Ha, I first saw Sailor Moon in 2002 I think, I was 17! But I had heard about Sailor Moon before I saw it, but I just knew it was a Japanese cartoon. I remember when I was 15 I saw a Sailor Moon bag with Moon, Mercury and Mars on it, so I thought there were only 3 of them, I didn't believe my cousin, who saw it earlier in Germany, that there were in fact 9 of them. LOL
