I posted this a while back on another board, but since it's pretty much dead, I'll post it here:
Okay, so the series is over and every episode plus the 1 hr post-series special has been released on TV-Nihon. Looking back on the series, I would like to come up with some things I liked about the show and didn't like.
Things I liked about the series:
1) Usagi, Ami, and Rei were very cute and attractive. 2) The acting was decent. 3) It was closer to being like the original manga. 4) They swerved away from the whole monster-of-the-day bit that they had in the anime. 5) There was no absolute good or absolute evil side. 6) The songs used were fun to sing along to. 7) It had a really good plot. There were a lot of cute and humorous scenes.
Things I didn't like about the series:
1) MIO. Worst character in all of SM history. For one she looks like a flapper, and two she's annoying as hell. It didn't really help the fact that they had to bring her back in the post-season special. She should have stayed dead because she deserves to be dead.
2) The senshi only do a bunch of cartwheels in the fight scenes instead of actual moves. The girls in Super Sentai series can fight even when they're not transformed, so why can't the Sailor Senshi fight even when they are? Hell, even Sailor Jupiter's fighting style pales in comparison.
3) Some of the things looked like they were ripped directly from Super Sentai/Power Rangers, such as the putty patrol with black cloaks in the later half of the series.
4) The way the Shingetsu look. Jadeite looks like some huge nerd with a blonde afro and British teeth, Nephrite actually looks more like Rubeius than Nephrite, Zoicite actually looks way more like Prince Diamond than Zoicite, and Kunzite looks like some Indian dude.
5) Queen Beyrl does practically nothing but sit around and shout orders.
6) Prince Endymion's outfit sucks
7) Sailor Luna. Need I say more?
The senshi intro speeches are spoken way too fast and jargoled together without any emphasis whatsoever.
9) The series only kept my interest only halfway through, and then it started to become as dull as watching paint dry on a wall.
10) There isn't a single fight scene worth watching.
11) The post-season special. It should have never been created.

Things you liked: 1) Usagi, Ami, and Rei were very cute and attractive.- I thought that ALL of the senshi (excluding Sailor Luna) were absolutely adorable. I loved the cast. 2) The acting was decent.- Agreed. The acting turned out to be better than I expected. 3) It was closer to being like the original manga.- I liked that, too. 4) They swerved away from the whole monster-of-the-day bit that they had in the anime.- Again, I agree. 5) There was no absolute good or absolute evil side.- This is one of the main reasons as to why I adore PGSM. 6) The songs used were fun to sing along to.- I feel pretty apathetic towards the songs, simply because I don't like pop/j-pop. I guess it just depends on your taste. 7) It had a really good plot.- Hell, yes! 8) There were a lot of cute and humorous scenes.- Yep! I loved those scenes. Things you disliked: 1) MIO. Worst character in all of SM history. For one she looks like a flapper, and two she's annoying as hell. It didn't really help the fact that they had to bring her back in the post-season special. She should have stayed dead because she deserves to be dead. - For me, Mio is a villain you love to hate. Also, in my opinion, Mio was my favorite part of The Special Act. 2) The senshi only do a bunch of cartwheels in the fight scenes instead of actual moves. The girls in Super Sentai series can fight even when they're not transformed, so why can't the Sailor Senshi fight even when they are? Hell, even Sailor Jupiter's fighting style pales in comparison.- A good amount of the fight scenes were really lame, but I expected that. 3) Some of the things looked like they were ripped directly from Super Sentai/Power Rangers, such as the putty patrol with black cloaks in the later half of the series.- PGSM has the same genre as Power Rangers, so the monsters didn't surprise me at all. - Jadeite is very laughable, Nephrite looks like a dork. I kind of liked how Zoicite and Kunzite looked though. 5) Queen Beryl does practically nothing but sit around and shout orders.- If there's only one complaint I can make about the Final Act, it's that Queen Beryl's character was rather anticlimatic. 6) Prince Endymion's outfit sucks.- I liked it ... 7) Sailor Luna. Need I say more?- Sailor Luna made me thankful that the anime and manga had Chibi Usa. I couldn't stand Sailor Luna. 8) The senshi intro speeches are spoken way too fast and jargoled together without any emphasis whatsoever.- Eh. I didn't notice that. 9) The series only kept my interest only halfway through, and then it started to become as dull as watching paint dry on a wall.- I thought it became more interesting and addictive as the show progressed. 10) There isn't a single fight scene worth watching.- Like I said before, I thought that most of the fight scenes were lame. 11) The post-season special. It should have never been created.- The Special Act isn't as bad as some fans made it out to be, methinks. Sure, it could have been a hell of a lot better, but I wouldn't say that it's a piece of crap.

Overall, I think Sailor Moon should have stayed an anime. I think they should have made like a new Sailor Moon anime with improved animation and whatnot, like how they made the new Ninja Turtles cartoon.

Oh, I would have definitely preferred a new anime instead, but I was really happy with PGSM ... Especially since I had very low expectations before I saw it.

Things I liked about the series:
1) Usagi, Ami, and Rei were very cute and attractive. Yeah, I think all the senshi were pretty! Especially Minako and Rei... 2) The acting was decent. That really depended on the person. It ranges from Mamoru, who had next to no facial expressions (except that weird thing he does with his nose when he's supposed to be in pain) or voice inflexions, to Rei, who was flipping amazing (especially in Act 48...I cried!!!) 3) It was closer to being like the original manga. Meh, it was only sort of like the manga. Rei's personality went back to normal, you have the whole thing about Queen Beryl and Endymion, and you have the Shitennou as rocks when they die. That's about it off the top of my head. 4) They swerved away from the whole monster-of-the-day bit that they had in the anime. True, but these monsters were far, FAR worse. I'd pick the anime monsters over PGSM ones any day. 5) There was no absolute good or absolute evil side. I disagree. Yeah, you have Zoicite and Nephrite (later on in the series), but those are the only exceptions. The senshi are good. Period (except Dark Mercury...but that's only because she was brainwashed.) I don't see any real good in Queen Beryl, Kuroki Mio, Jadite or Kunzite. 6) The songs used were fun to sing along to. Completely agree. I am ADDICTED!!! 7) It had a really good plot. I don't know, it could have been more original and varied more from act to act. And for God's sake, if you're going to make a series like this, MAKE THE FINAL ACT AT LEAST DECENT!!!! AUGH!!!! There were a lot of cute and humorous scenes. I won't lie, those are what I liked best about PGSM.
Things I didn't like about the series:
1) MIO. Worst character in all of SM history. For one she looks like a flapper, and two she's annoying as hell. It didn't really help the fact that they had to bring her back in the post-season special. She should have stayed dead because she deserves to be dead. Lol @ flapper comment. Yeah, she is kind of annoying, she didn't really DO anything!!! And her return was pointless. It really was.
God, I hated the battle scenes. On the one hand, you have monsters who just go "Urr...urr..." and push people around taking purple CGI energy. On the other hand, you have the Sailor Senshi in awful costumes doing superflous flips, cartwheels, and helicopter turns. When they DO punch, kick, etc, they don't even LOOK like they make contact! And the shoving...what's with the bloody shoving?!
3) Some of the things looked like they were ripped directly from Super Sentai/Power Rangers, such as the putty patrol with black cloaks in the later half of the series. I don't know much about Super Sentai or Power Rangers, so I couldn't say anything about it.
I HATE the Shitennou!!!!!!!! HATE THEM!!! Nephrite has a freaking anger management...I just want to slap him or something! Zoi won't stop playing that :-[ing piano, and Kunzite is glued to that freaking sword! (Plus, his moves are really cheesy.)
5) Queen Beryl does practically nothing but sit around and shout orders. So true. Plus, in the first half, she's like, WE WILL AWAKEN THE GREAT EVIL, and then when Metallia does start to rise, shes like, NO!!! METALLIA'S GONNA RULE THE WORLD INSTEAD OF ME!!! Um, can we cay "inconsistent"?!?
6) Prince Endymion's outfit sucks Lol! His shoulder pads really bugged me.
7) Sailor Luna. Need I say more? She was cute, I'll give her that, but extremely pointless and random. Never should have happened.
The senshi intro speeches are spoken way too fast and jargoled together without any emphasis whatsoever. There was a little emphasis, but in all, that didn't really bother me.
9) The series only kept my interest only halfway through, and then it started to become as dull as watching paint dry on a wall. So true! Around Act 25, all the acts got really boring. They tried to make it all angsty, but it just DIED. It's the same thing every friggin episode.
10) There isn't a single fight scene worth watching. Yeah, except the one in Act 48 because of the emotional impact. See #2.
11) The post-season special. It should have never been created. Dude, the senshi had like 2 seconds of screen time!!! Why make a post-season special when its main characters are barely in it?!?! Plus, the whole thing about the senshi's future is SO unrealistic. It's only been four freakin years!! How could all this have happened to them in FOUR YEARS?!?!

OK, I agree pretty much completely with arwentheelf02. Exceptions- 1) Usagi, Ami, and Rei were very cute and attractive. Eh, I didn't think Ami was all that pretty... 3) It was closer to being like the original manga. I didn't think so much at all. I think, other than that, I completely agreed. I espically think that the speeches/fighting were the worst part of the show, save for MIO, the great wench, BERYL, the pointless wench and the Shitennou. Need I say anything about them except for. >.< and

They should've made a better Anime in my opinion. The way the characters were like most of them were horrible especially Mamoru and Rei.
Anyway I love PGSM almost everything about it I like. Except the fight scenes, Princess Serenity's dress, and Keiko Kitagawa's crying skills. Oh and for those don't know Keiko is Rei anyway I wasn't sad at all when she was crying in Act 48 or whichever Act she was crying about Minako's death. Oh and Mio well she mostly creeped me out when she smiles it is so creepy which is why she plays evil really good and yet likeable a little.

If you remember, ALL of the Shingetsu became good in the end, and they helped out in the 1-hr special. Also, judging by the last episode, you could tell that Queen Beyrl's evilness was starting to melt away. And don't forget about evil endymion and how the Moon Princess was the one who ultimately destroyed the earth.

True, all the Shitennou become good by the end, but it was only because Beryl had freed them from her spell or they had died or both. I don't know...I didn't notice her getting less evil near the end. I see her giving up in the Last Act, but not getting less evil. I also see her getting more fearful of Queen Metallia, but that doesn't affect evilness. Evil Endymion is different. He took Metallia into himself and she took control. It wasn't his choice to become evil.

While I agree with Ayaka (how does one cry with a blank face!?!?), I think Keiko was fantastic in the episode with her father and the episode where Minako dies. She looked DEVASTATED!!! Competely crushed. She MADE those episodes. What didn't you like about it? Just wondering. ^^

Well when Rei's father slapped her I don't know her face well it kinda made me laugh. I don't mean to offend you or anything the same when Minako died I mean she did get better but not fully I didn't even feel like crying when she did cry to tell you the truth. But Keiko is an excellent actress.

Well..I was thinking about buying PGSM from animecollector.com but I don't know if I should now. You can download it for free at TV Nihon. You need Bit Torrent though, which you can also download for free.
