I'm using TextEdit on a Mac and saving the files as .html, then uploading them via the FTP client. I didn't know there was a "coder" end, I thought it was pretty straightforward like Notepad is on Windows. :\
EDIT: hurp durp, I had to switch it to plain-text mode. Doesn't it figure it was something as simple as that?
Thanks for tipping me off, Larry. Much appreciated!

Alright, so I finally decided to make use of the hosting plan I bought for my birthday last year and create a website over my free semester. I registered my new domain and wanted to create a "coming soon" splash page while I got down to work. I have the HTML formatted properly, but all it's showing is the HTML itself, not the page I want it to make. Take a look: moon-revenge.net/Now I'm decent in HTML, although my knowledge isn't really up-to-date. But I just can't figure out what's going wrong! I'm using TextEdit for my HTML. This is my first time using a FTP client (FileZilla, for reference) and I don't know if something's going wrong between me and the client or what. If I can't get a simple splash page up, I'm screwed. Help me out, por favor. :[

There's nothing wrong with liking the dub! Some people just can't get into the original version, and that's cool. It's kinda like preferring Mighty Morphin Power Rangers over the sentai shows.
But the art's just so funky. Tuxedo Mask seems to be channeling Batman, Sailor Moon looks like she doesn't care that she's falling, and apparently Tokyo is now New York City. Strange piece of art there.

Princess Cosmos, I'm reading The Time-Traveler's Wife too! But it's taking me forever to get through it. I keep getting bored with it and I hear it gets depressing toward the end.

Darkly Dreaming Dexter. My boyfriend likes the show, so I thought I'd give the books a try. Dexter's rather funny for a serial killer.

So I borrowed The Encyclopedia of Animated Cartoons from work a while back. Sailor Moon just happened to be listed in the book, but not very accurately. (If you want to see me sperge about it, you can read my sailormoonfans entry here.) No, what I want to share with you is this piece of DiC promo art. It's probably one of the weirdest Sailor Moon pictures I've seen and I want to know who decided this was a good idea. D: ... yeah. That face.

I still want my jetpack. Why should I have to drive everywhere? I want to fly.

Haha, I would too. The only good thing about having this much spare time is that I've completely cleaned out my room, which I've been meaning to do for FOREVER. I still have our spare room cluttered with boxes from when we moved last year, so I've been taking stuff out of the boxes and putting up shelves in the spare room. It looks so much nicer.
I also donated five garbage bags worth of clothes after I cleaned out my dresser. You never truly realize how many clothes you have until they're all over your floor!

I wish I was going back to school this fall. I'm getting tired of sitting around the house and I can't apply for the spring semester until the fall semester beings! The only good part is that I may get more hours at work once fall starts.

I agree with everyone else. Breaking the fourth wall can be humorous and can add to the story when done well, but more often than not it tends to be distracting and a bit annoying. I've seen too many fanfics where the author decides to break the fourth wall and everything just goes out of character. I'd go for it, but don't overuse it.

I'm taking a break from Kamikaze Kaito Jeanne to read Your Next-Door Neighbor Is a Dragon by Zack Parsons. My boyfriend wanted it and I'm reading it before I give it to him.

Put another one down for Half-Blood Prince! It wasn't my favorite of the books, but I really enjoyed the movie. It's always good to see more Luna Lovegood.

Bruno.
I want to know how someone managed to get a ten-year-old kid into that movie. D:
