Does anyone here know both Chinese and Japanese? Consider the fact that Japanese has an alphabet, while Chinese doesn't. What are the disadvantages of having an alphabet? For example, you may have to write more characters to convey a meaning, while it can only require one or two characters in Chinese. Anything else?

I'm having a debate with a friend who insists that the Japanese language is superior to the Chinese language. What are the disadvantages of Japanese compared to Chinese?

I looked through the thread I made called "Your own 'senshi' profile", and noticed that the majority of us hated maths. I'm not a nerd or anything like that, but I admit liking maths and sciences like chemistry and biology. I hate commerce subjects though.
Why do you like or hate certain school subjects?

I can't stand homophobes. Stereotypes also play a role in making all those lame assumptions homophobes make. Here's some common rubbish : - All gays hunt and touch little kids - All gays sexually caress other people - All gays are potential rapists - All gays are obsessed with sex - All gays have STDs - You will catch STDs from hanging out with a gay for too long - Being gay is abnormal - Being gay is against nature - Anyone who supports gays are also gay themselves Also, "gay" should NOT be used as a substitute for a negative adjective. Everyone now and then, I hear people saying "OMG that's so gay..." "That teacher is so gay..." "Maths is so gay..."

I'm not going to keep thinking Pluto is a planet, but I'll keep my respect and interest in it. We're continuing to advance, and I'm very excited to find out those mysterious worlds beyond Pluto and the Kuiper objects.

Yeah, I just read the newspaper and saw the news. However, they have just made a new category called the "minor planets", and Pluto, Xena and those other larger space objects go there, with asteroids in the third group. The problem was, if Pluto was considered a planet, then Xena and those other larger space objects they discovered recently would too have to fall in the same category. Anyway, Setsuna is still a senshi, and luckily the Stars series didn't completely "delete" Pluto from the series if they had found out earlier.

I can try playing Seiya + Usagi's piano piece. Violins can play simple chords, but if there's too many then it gets messy. I might put what I play into a MIDI just so you can see what I've played. Shame I don't have a pianist. Instead of playing them in order according to the series, do you think I should group them into something like a storyline, like this: Opening (joyful happiness eg. Heart Moving) Introduction to the problem (calm evil music) Action! (henshin-like music) The big battle (loud, evil battle music) Resolution, peace (calm happiness) I have reordered the list in my first post.

Moonlight Densetsu (Calm piano version but on violin) Sailor Uranus and Neptune (The outers' henshin theme) Eternal no Ai (When Sailor Moon first transforms into her Eternal form) Kakeru no Yasashisa (The peaceful theme in the S movie) Seiya no Omoi (Seiya's rooftop music with Usagi) Nehellenia Hukkatu (The tragic-like track that's played when Galaxia shows how evil she is) Marine Cathedral music (I notated this, it's when Neptune gets shot and her talisman is taken) Black Moon (The track played when Hotaru is shown crying after the Holy Grail appeared) Sailor Saturn (When Saturn appears before she sacrifices herself to defeat Pharaoh 90) Super Sailor Moon (When Sailor Moon tranforms into her Super form without the Holy Grail and jumps in the battle with Pharaoh 90) Message no Ai (When Luna turns into a human in the S movie - I love this piece so much!) Watashi Tachi ni Naritakute (Played throughout the SuperS season) Kaze mo, Sora mo, Kitto (Stars ending theme) Sailor Star Song (I think I'll play the sad version when the senshi are killed) What other suggestions do you have? I still have to play with the order a little more since it's a medley, and it would sound odd playing a happy song, then sad, then happy straight away). I'll continue updating this list, so check this post every now and then.

I was asked this question as homework for my English class. What do you think love at first sight is? I've been mildly attracted to a different girl each year (not that I flirt with millions, these things happen to everyone ). In my first year of high school I was attracted to a pretty girl in my class, but that was really short after the end of that year and since then she hasn't been in my class anymore. Then in my second year it was a friend of the same girl, but it was so insignificant that I've forgotten who it was. Then last year it was another girl in my class. I really liked her personality and she seemed really nice to me. She added me to her MSN contact list, but after a few months I found out that she had blocked and deleted me. I asked a friend of hers what was wrong and she said that she told me to "F*ck off and leave me alone. Yes I did block him. And deleted him too!" Really harsh response, but I don't think I did anything wrong, and I never annoyed her or tried to "make a move" on her. Then when that was over and a new year, I like a new friend of mine in my class who I also like to make fun of (only verbally of course). It would be silly telling her that I like her since I like to make fun of her so much (as in "fake hate"). Crazy isn't it?

Have fun in France! I dream of travelling all around the world too... although I'm not keen on getting off my chair at all.

I like hermit crabs, and I'm a violinist, so that makes Crabolinist!
