Would anyone know how to upload a DVD to windows movie maker? I was planning on making a Sleepy Hollow video, but unfortunately i never learned how to upload a DVD so i can get clips off of it and for them to work on the video. I have downloaded episodes of my favorite anime, and when i added them to the time line on WMM, they turned into audio clips. Can someone help me with that? Also, can anyone recommend a song i could use when i make the videos? --------------------------------------------------------------------------- By the way, if anyone else has a youtube and makes videos, i have a BIG issue with audio. Every single time i upload a video, it deletes my audio. But when i put the rights to it, the audio STILL gets removed. Anyone else have that issue?? So if you can, give me some advice on all this!

To get clips from DVDs, you have to first decrypt the DVD, and then convert the clips (which will turn out as .vob files, most likely) to a format Movie Maker can use. I use DVD Decrypter and avi.NET with aviSynth (aviSynth makes av.NET run) when I need DVD clips. You can get these for free, legally, and safely from www.videohelp.comAs for the clips turning into audio: 1.) Are you sure they're on the movie timeline? (I know it's a basic question, but bear with me. ) 2.) Are you sure they're in a movie format? Movie Maker is picky. As for the removal of audio - YT can be bitchy like that. If you own the rights to the audio, or have permission to use it, then call them on it, they're being dumb. If you don't, it's technically illegal, but you can always upload your video to another service such as imeem or vimeo, and direct people to the audio'd version from YT.

Well i put that i DO own rights to the whole video, and they still take it off. Thats how i got kicked off youtube the first time.

If you're using a song or clips that you didn't make yourself, you don't technically own rights unless you have permission from the copyright holder. What kind of videos are you making?

If you are stating that you do have the rights to something you don't have the rights to, maybe that was what got you kicked off? I'm not sure, since all I have up on Youtube are videos of myself, my kitties, and a big storm one day.

well i realized the problem. Every time i put what the song name was or the band name it would delete it. So now i dont put what it is and if someone needs to know any of the name or band they have to PM me.

Unless they do a CRC matchup for the audio against a list of copyrighted songs, in which case you're still screwed!
