Thank you! I mean if you hate the series then why do you even read it? I hated it, but I kept reading to find out what happened. It's like a vacuum -- you hate it, but you can't stop. Besides, if I wanted to properly hate, I wanted to see for myself instead of reading biased internet opinions. Sometimes it's just fun to have something you love to hate.

We call it "twatlighting" *cough* Dude the theme for the Vday dance at school is Twilight, like the time of day but it was inspired by the book to use that theme. Liz told me, and she was on the planning committee. I think my expression was " DDDDDDD8 " when I heard that.

Now it's like there's a monopoly on the word "twilight." Nobody can use it in anything (at least for a few years) without thinking of sparkly vampires anymore. It was such a cool word too, it's a shame when things get hijacked like that.
lol, Robert Pattinson actually signed a "Twatlight" poster. He's such a good sport, especially since he hates Edward's character and all.

I love the whole Twilight series. I'm guessing you lot are a different age to me and fallen angel. We both like the series and enjoy talking about it. I think its meant to be for people our age. But if people of other age groups enjoy it thats great. I mean if it gets teenagers reading what is so wrong with it? Thats just my opinion though....

Yes, it's good that it gets teenagers reading. I have no complaints about that. What creeps me out is the obsession lots of girls are developing over these books. Normally fannish obsession doesn't bother me because I'm not gonna lie, I do it too. But Twilight fangirls are like a whole new level. It's hard for me to explain without sounding mean and I'm not trying to, but they just seem crazy to me sometimes. Even the moms who obsess over the books give me the creeps.
I don't HATE the books themselves -- they were decent reads, even if the characterization left a lot to be desired. In my opinion, Bella had less personality than a piece of cardboard. I just had to deal with selling them over Christmas and watching girls CRY because they couldn't get these books. It got old fast.
But honestly, if you enjoy them them more power to you! I'm glad it's getting teenagers to read, I just wish they'd expand their horizions past vampire books once in a while. And for the record I'm only 20, so I'm not that far from the target audience.

Yeah, I'm only 16 so I'm in the target audience. I just like to read more mature things that make me think.
