I watched part of But I'm a Cherleader! before the DVD decided not to read anymore. I hate when DVDs are too scratched to play! Also, the skip-fixer stuff you buy at the Gamestop totally doesn't work-- my copy of Insomnia was playing in fits and starts, so I tried the skip-fixer on it, an after that the disk wouldn't read at all :-( !

Last movie I watched recently at the cinema's was Dragonball! I thought that was pretty good, only a few parts here and there made me cringe.... and last movie I watched on DVD was 27 dresses!!! Awesome movie!

Paranoid Park. It was pretty cool, not what I was expecting, fantastic cinematography too.
Freya, But I'm A Cheerleader! is about kids who get sent to some camp to be 'cured' of homosexuality, right? It was the midday movie once, I thought I was really well done and wasn't ruined by the negative stereotypes a lot of teen films have.

My boyfriend and I went to see Star Trek Friday. I didn't think I would like it, but I was blown away. I wish the original series was as interesting as the movie -- I'd probably actually enjoy it then!

I know this has thread has been dead since May but I have a great movie that I'd like to share.
I saw a movie called Kagemusha on Turner Classic movies once. Yes, its from Japan. No, its not anime but, would probably make a good one though.
In the movie a clan's warlord died and a thief is forced to impersonate him.
If you like action and adventure set in medieval Japan this definitely is something to watch.

And another movie i saw was Saw 4. Not as freaky as it used to be.

I recently watched Nacho Libre on Cartoon Network. I can't be serious and watch sophisticated stuff all the time. The movie was pretty funny.

I watched Gran Toreno last night. And to my surprise, I loved it. I didn't really expect it to have so many funny moments either.

I just watched The Other Boleyn Girl (w/ Natalie Portman, Scarlet Johansson, Eric Bana) and liked it very much. I cried in the end when Anne Boleyn died... and I felt sorry for Mary Boleyn... although perhaps historically I shouldn't have felt sorry for either. However, I did notice a couple of loose ends in the film...
Natalie Portman is one of my most favourite actresses ever...
