Secrets of the Universe is pretty good :-)
You know, the design on the cover kind of looks like a starseed...
I'm intrigued...

"Accelerating human awareness as we prepare for ascension of our sun, our earth and ourselves, lightbearers from the ascended Sirian star, Satais, are committed to helping us achieve the awakening of our light bodies, activation of our dormant DNA strands and a greater understanding of what we can expect as we approach the ascension vortex of our passage into the fourth dimension. They provide the Awakening with a greater understanding of the forces behind the global conspiracy to keep us from realizing our starseed legacy: to assist in the re-birthing of Planet Earth, bring the light of truth to those who are still huddled in the darkness and assist those who intend to serve as healers and guides of the ascension, during the great transformation of all life in our quadrant of the three-dimensional galaxy." That almost sounds excactly like Sailor Moon. Light of Truth? No Light of Hope!! In another paragraph, she always mentions Cosmos. Coincedence? I think not! Another quick edit. This is really freaky though and it just feels like Sailor Moon. www.sirianrevelations.net/Default3.html

The only things that are referencing Sailor Moon in this thread are the book title and the Duke Nukem quote. There's nothing else that has references to Sailor Moon in this thread and it's clear;it's just talking about things that are irrelevant to this thread.I think people have strayed far off topic here....

Well, you know, the book isn't *ACTUALLY* based around Sailor Moon, either. We're just mentioning odd things that make us think of Sailor Moon.

They aren't necessarily meant to be references, more like obscure things we relate to Sailor Moon. I don't think it's gone off-topic.

Well maybe I went a little overbored, but that book really reminds me of Sailor Moon. Someone should check it out and see what it is all about.

Actually, only the Duke Nukem quote counts. The book title isn't a reference to Sailor Moon. I remember a couple of mentions of Sailor Moon on Mystery Science Theater 3000 (you know, the guy with two robots who make fun of bad movies). Both were in the same episode, I believe.

I would borrow it from work, but it's the only one on the shelf and we aren't allowed to borrow books we only have one copy of. (I don't have the money to shell out for it either -- it's probably expensive even with my discount.) I'll have to sit down and read it on one of my lunch breaks and get back to you all on what it's about. And if it describes how to snatch starseeds, forget telling y'all, I'll just make some late-night starseed-stealing sprees. I've always wanted my own personal army of Phages.

My Sailor Moon experience: My family drives to my Grandparents in Connecticut once in a while. A town right off the highway is called 'Darien.' I never thought much about it, except my brother going "wanna go visit that mask guy?" Until one day, when I found out it was a detour that also led to my grandparents house...
The trip will never be the same again. To get to my grandparents, I can drive through Darien!

*cough* I'm still here! I've just temporarily relocated to Florida for the week, so actually getting the book's a bit impossible right now. And if I end up finding it down here, I'm not paying sales tax for it, so it can wait until I get home. Anyway! I saw a restaurant called Fiore's down here in Clearwater. I had to do a double-take because although I know it's Italian, I was like "wait wut?" And yes, there were flowers around the restaurant. I lol'd.
