Yeah, they are lesbians (that's the proper word for them ) They love each other very much, and they don't miss a chance to say hilarious jokes about their relationship XDD They seem very close to each other

what Ladylillith said ^^ at first sight you'd think that they're a "straight' couple because Haruka mostly cross-dresses.But you'll see their intimate band as the 2 outer senshi(when Pluto and Saturn werent there yet)

Well, if you watch the dub, they're "cousins" (which may have caused some confusion)... but the dub has never been an accurate source of information.
Ladylilith is completely correct.

Heheheh... true true! They are a homosexual couple. During one of Naoko Takeuchi's stays in the USA she attended a convention and some of the American Sailor Moon fans asked her the same question. She answered "Yes, Haruka and Michiru are lesbian lovers." So there's no place for hesitation since she herself admitted it. ^O^ I'm happy to see fans are not bothered by this fact. =3

I am pretty sure that what Naoko has officially stated is that Haruka posesses the qualities of both genders, male and female. She has also stated their their bond goes 'beyond love' suggesting that the are something more than just lovers, possibly soulmates, etc. I don't think Naoko has ever outright used "lesbians;" I believe in that interview she stated that they were "lovers." The language is important though, I think.
It is certainly implied in the anime and manga that they share intimate relations. :3

Nope, your info is wrong. But you're right that she never used the term "lesbian". Haruka is a girl and has never been a male, she's not a hermaphrodite.^^ This is a part from the interview that Naoko Takeuchi attended in the convention: Question: There is some controversy over the character Haruka. Was she a man who transformed into a woman when she became Sailor Uranus?
Takeuchi Naoko: Haruka has always been a girl. Always will be. As for the Starlights, in the manga they were always girls. In the anime, however, they got turned into guys, and I wasn't very happy about it. And another extract from Sheer Lunacy FAQ: 3.08. Is Haruka Ten'ou (Sailor Uranus) a hermaphrodite or really male?
No she isn't, she's female. The reason that this crazy rumor got started in the first place - to say nothing of the ghastly Prince Uranus offshoot that's been floating around the Internet for the last couple of years - is due to the misinterpretation of an admittedly bizarre line in Act 29 - Infinity 6: Three Soldiers in Volume 9 of the Pretty Soldier Sailor Moon manga, where Sailor Neptune says something like (according to Alex Glover):
"Uranus is both a man and a woman. A soldier of both genders, with the strengths of each." - Sailor Neptune (Michiru Kaiou)
Look people, I know how that sounds, but she wasn't speaking literally! Since I speak English, French, and German, I've checked out a few alternate language versions of that particular passage and all my findings indicate that's what's actually being referred to is Haruka's personality and not her physical body, which is the exact same conclusion that Ken Arromdee and just about everyone else has reached. Yup, they are lovers and they are so cute and caring, the strenght of their bond is so great I can't help it but admire their love for each other.

Haruka is a girl and has never been a male, she's not a hermaphrodite.^^ Gender and biological sex are not the same thing so it's not wrong to say that someone has the qualities of both genders. It just means that they can be feminine or masculine, which I think it true for Haruka - at least for certain in the manga. I have read the interviews that you quoted, but that's not where this particular statment was made. She either made it in another interview or it was stated in a sideline in the manga somewhere. I will try to locate it for you. EditOh, maybe it's just what you posted there: "Uranus is both a man and a woman. A soldier of both genders, with the strengths of each." - Sailor Neptune (Michiru Kaiou) Maybe I remember that quote from the actual manga. That makes it even better since it's then its canon. ^_^

I absolutly adore H&M, any form of them, except the dub. The voices just irks me. Maybe its because the voices are just so right in the original Anime? I dont know. I see the question has already been answered, that they are lovers. It really surprises me how OUT THERE people get with theorys so they dont have to accept what is reality

Not really This is what Lunar Archivist said, not Naoko. ^^'' As far as I know Naoko doesn't speak any other language than Japanese.

Michiru is just a big flirt - bottom line. I think she will flirt with anyone, Seiya included. XD
