(I just about fell out of my chair when this big crack of under let loose o.0 As soon as I typed thtlast sentence too. It's a sign! XD) rofl, that reminds me of the time I fell off a piano bench because the leg was broken... I fell to the ground, and the bench hit me in the head! I took it as a sign that I'd practiced enough for that day....

lol one time me and my brother were standing in my room (where there are no horses living for miles) and he said something about the movie The Ring, and then we both heard a loud horse neigh >_<
Eeevil signs...
Yeah anyway lol I really don't have anything new I wanna see! Although I miss doing the puzzles, my Java's being wacky and it's basically not working at all... even though I have the newest version, all the settings are right, and even the test page at Java's site work, but no Java applets work >_< even the ones on the Java website (other than the test one)

well... as far as HTML I'm still having difficulty learning how to do frames >_< <_< >_> You should try using div layers instead! They're much easier to use, and they're more fashionable right now. You have to use CSS to make div layers, but it's not as hard as it seems once you put your mind to it.

Umm, yeah not really site-related, more forum-related but meh, could you add a link to the site somewhere on top of the forum?(such as, under the picture or something), because some of us *cough*me*cough* are so lazy that they don't want to go to "Bookmarks"->The Oracle... I mean it's such a waste of a click

I used to think HTML was easier until I really sat down to learn CSS, and now I think CSS is so much easier and better. Besides that, it's designed to handle things that HTML just wasn't made to handle. I think you have a lot more control over things with CSS and can do a lot more. As far as cross-browser compatibility, I don't think it's a problem with CSS, I think it's a problem with the browsers. With HTML, all browsers understand it the same way. Unfortunately, all browsers do not understand CSS the same way because they weren't made to do so. One big problem I have with Firefox is that it doesn't handle a lot of CSS properly - it doesn't accept absolutely standard things that CSS was designed for, and it seems kind of arbitrary. It also has a lot of CSS bugs, and it won't accept code that isn't 100% perfect (which is sort of an advantage of IE: if you're not brilliant at coding, IE can still interpret what you're trying to do). So with Firefox, you have to "trick" it into doing things for you sometimes which it really ought to be doing anyway.

Yeah true, for example if you use 15 px instead of 15px, it doesn't work in Firefox!(that's why people do this, just to have a cute banner saying their site is best viewed in IE6 ) Also, if you're going for Firefox compat. you should NEVER start your class or ID names with a number! Remember, it's not browsers that screw up web pages, is coders! Of course you could always use Dreamweaver!

lol IE has many issues of compatibilty between itself, version 5.5, 6 and 7 are all there causing problems, i talk general here because CSS is just one component (style) Javascript work arounds for bugs are needed across those browsers (background work) HTML should be kept to a minimum just for readability's sake which is why CSS is good
on the browser front, firefox lets you debug better the IE, it has a error console which is more accurate than IE's pop up messages and code that isn't 100% correct should not run - its the number one reason for bugs! Programming has got stricter for this reason.
yes, the browser implementations, firefox and IE 7 are much closer than were, microsoft decided to actually try following the rules the w3c set out but it amounts to the same thing, headache trying to get CSS to looks right - if you get IE 6,7, firefox and opera working, then you garentee you reach as many as possible with the page looking how it shold
yeah it has a niffy browser check utility for css for whats in and not ^_^

Hurray for Dreamweaver but it took me awhile to figure out or reconfigure the raw coding I did by hand earlier that was not so premium.

Also, I'd like to draw your attention to Firebug, a Firefox extension that is a great tool in the hands of a webmaster/webapprentice/webgeek/hacker It allows you to view the HTML, CSS, Scripts, and it really has a nifty highlight tool that helps you identify objects! And all that a click away!

And all that a click away! I don't like Firefox. Too bad there isn't something like that for IE. I only use Firefox to check compatibility...it seems that external stylesheets aren't supported in FF....hmm. Or at least, some of the tags in it. (My headers work, but not the background or the links and stuff.) So anyone who goes to my sites will find that it works but not all the nice stuff is there. As for an answer to Betty Ann's question, I was just thinking that there are almost no images people in-character from PGSM. That woud be nice if you could get them... But as for the other stuff, I think more gemstone stuff would be good.

Hi Betty Ann! Just a question. What's with the new SHOP button and those teeny little icons below some usernames on the boards? An explanation would be highly appreciated. Thanks.
EDIT: Okay never mind. I found the relevant thread at right about the same time Larry got to this one. XD; Sorry Larry and thanks dear! Also, I'm sorry about the trouble.
